Julian, if you are this unhappy living here, you should seriously consider breaking your lease. The level of outrage you’re expressing over something as minor as the bottom of the pool is excessive and speaks more to your own misery than any real issue with this community. What is especially unacceptable is your implication that I somehow don’t qualify to live here because I speak Spanish. Let me be very clear: I passed the required background and credit checks just like every other resident. Speaking Spanish does not make someone unqualified, and suggesting otherwise is racist and discriminatory. You have absolutely no right to judge who belongs in this community. If sharing space with people of different backgrounds bothers you this much, apartment living—and frankly any diverse community—is not for you. Buy a home where you can control everything and spare the rest of us your hostility. Everyone here deserves to live peacefully without being targeted for who they are or the language they speak. I’m American but speaks more than one language and my wife is another race, so what does that make me? ——— I recently moved into Mark Lane, and I couldn't be happier with my decision! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The leasing process was smooth, and they made sure I had everything I needed to settle in comfortably. The apartments themselves are beautifully designed, spacious, and equipped with modern amenities. I particularly love the layout of kitchen, featuring stainless steel appliances and ample counter space. The community is fantastic, with well-maintained grounds and a relaxing pool area that is perfect for unwinding after a long day. I also appreciate the fitness center, which is well-equipped and never too crowded. Location-wise, it’s ideally situated near shopping, dining, and beautiful beaches. It’s a peaceful neighborhood yet close enough to where all the excitement happens. Overall, I highly recommend it here to anyone looking for a great place to call home. It truly feels like a community, and I’m excited to be a part of it!

Recently, we relocated to Mark Lanes. We are delighted to have made this move. We have had an exceptional experience from everyone, particularly with our sales representative, Pedro, and our maintenance team, specifically Ernesto and Gerson. Both individuals demonstrated exceptional assistance and professionalism. Our small puppy has quickly formed a bond with the team, as they have ensured our comfort and welcome in our new home, even beyond their job descriptions.

These apartments are amazing! First, the staff is very friendly and willing to help, this is true for both the leasing office and the maintenance team. Public areas are well kept. They gym is always clean, the clubhouse is fun and the pool very relaxing. The neighbors are nice and the apartment feels very quiet. They do regular checks on the buildings to keep them clean. The trash is timely removed multiple times a week. Overall my experience has been great!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Community and Pleasant Place to Live I’ve been living in this community for quite some time now, and overall my experience has been very positive. Like any large apartment complex, there are always minor issues here and there, but nothing out of the ordinary or serious enough to impact daily living. The property is beautiful, well located, and generally quiet. Common areas are well maintained, and when something is reported, maintenance responds in a reasonable timeframe. The front gate has already been fixed, which shows that management does address concerns. Elevators are operating properly and are regularly monitored. The pool area is a great amenity—spacious, clean, and enjoyable. Weekends are naturally busier, as expected in any community, but it has never felt unsafe or unmanageable. I frequently see staff cleaning and maintaining the grounds. Management has always been professional, respectful, and approachable whenever I’ve had questions or concerns. I’ve never felt dismissed. It’s clear they are making efforts to improve and keep the community welcoming. Most residents are friendly, respectful, and family oriented. As with any community, there may be isolated incidents, but they do not reflect the overall environment. I also don’t quite understand why someone would choose to continue living in a place they claim to dislike so much. If the community were truly as bad as described, most people would simply move elsewhere rather than remain here. Overall, this community offers excellent value for the location, a pleasant atmosphere, and a comfortable place to live. I would confidently recommend it to anyone looking for a nice place to call home.

Our experience at Mark Lane Apartments has been terrible. When we first moved in, the original management team was kind, respectful, and great to work with. Unfortunately, everything changed when PLK Communities took over. The current management is abysmal. Consistently rude, passive-aggressive, and unhelpful. Upon moving out, we were charged over $700, including an outrageous $300 cleaning fee for a two-bedroom apartment, despite the fact that we thoroughly cleaned it ourselves. We spoke with Pedro Trujillo and Mirtha Zafra, and both seemed more focused on nickel-and-diming than providing fair service. Mirtha was especially passive-aggressive and uncooperative. They admitted they have no records from the previous management, yet still attempted to charge us for items they couldn’t even verify. They even told us we had to “prove” we had access to the move-in inspection form because they didn’t — an excuse that felt dishonest and irresponsible. Their only saving grace is John Crowe, who is incredibly kind and the one person who actually makes you feel welcome. He is the sole positive part of this property, but sadly, he cannot outweigh the rest of the management team. Overall, PLK Communities has turned Mark Lane into a shady, unreliable property. I strongly recommend avoiding this apartment complex and this management company altogether as it is not worth the money they charge.
