  Crossings at University I do not usually post complaints publicly, but after more than 7 months of trying to resolve this issue through calls and emails, I feel I have no other choice. For the past several months, we have been dealing with a serious AC problem in our apartment that has still not been properly repaired. The condition of the AC unit has become unacceptable and potentially hazardous. Water constantly leaks from the unit, and we have to place a bowl underneath it to prevent the floor from flooding. Because of this issue, we cannot even leave the apartment for more than a few days without worrying that the home will flood. I have contacted the office multiple times and have sent emails, but no one has provided a proper response or resolution. The maintenance technician informed us that a part for the AC had been ordered, but it has now been more than two months with no update, no repair, and no follow-up. In addition, the stove in the apartment is not working, which is another issue that has not been resolved. I want to be clear that my rent has always been paid on time, and I have never caused any issues as a tenant. However, it should not require constant begging just to have essential repairs completed in the home. Today, I called again at 12:30 PM requesting that the manager of The Crossing contact me, and I am still waiting for a response. At this point, we are extremely frustrated and simply want these problems fixed. If this situation continues without resolution, my next step will be to file a formal complaint with the Department of Health regarding the living conditions. I hope the management team will address this issue promptly.

  I have lived in that apartment for the past 11 years and the maintenance is extremely poor. I had to replace the bathroom cabinets, the entrance, kitchen and bathroom floors myself out of pocket. Every time I called to get something done in the apartment they wouldn’t do it. This have been a 2 out of 10 living experience.

  Please consider my experience as a cautionary tale. I have resided in this apartment for two years, during which time it was peaceful and calm. However, I received a notice on my door indicating that I must vacate the premises by February 2025. I approached the office to confirm this date with a staff member. She affirmed the date; therefore, I prepared to move out. Subsequently, I returned to the office, and she informed me that the date was incorrect and that the actual date was in March. It is important to note that I had already made payments and signed a lease agreement with a different property after explaining this situation. Upon clarification, she assured me that I could still vacate on the originally discussed date. I proceeded to move out, believing everything was in order. However, I later received a bill demanding $2,500 for early termination and late fees. To this day, I remain perplexed as to why I am being charged this amount, especially after our discussions and signed documentation. I revisited the property seeking further clarification, but the property manager was unprofessional and unfriendly, dismissing the entire situation. Additionally, the staff member I previously dealt with has since left. This experience has been disheartening; it is the most uncaring service I have encountered. It is regrettable that this incident has tarnished the reputation of the company. I advise caution to anyone dealing with this property to be aware of potential attempts to extract money and acknowledge mistakes.
