I have been living here for 5 months in building #2. The area is great, you’re close to everything, even within walking distance to Aldi and several restaurants. The EOS gym is right in front, which is nice and very convenient.
Pros
The front desk staff is truly amazing. They are very friendly and always willing to help or answer any questions.
The lobby, clubhouse, and gym are very clean, including the bathrooms.
The maintenance team is also amazing. They respond quickly, come to your door respectfully, and treat your apartment with care. Every issue I’ve had has been resolved promptly, and they’re always pleasant to work with.
The property itself is well kept, including the pool area. It’s nice living in a complex where management clearly cares about the appearance of the property. It feels upscale, and most of the residents seem respectful, which makes it feel like a comfortable community.
Cons
The hallways are be pretty dirty. I personally sweep and mop the area outside my door, but the rest of the hallway looks grimy. It would be nice if they hired a company to regularly clean the hallways. I’ve walked to the garbage chute and seen dog urine in the hallway, which is pretty gross.
The valet trash service should be optional. Residents are required to pay for it whether they use it or not. It also makes the halls smell like garbage, and sometimes pieces of trash like bones and wrappers are left behind and not cleaned up. I feel like this also attracts more bugs to the building. I don’t even use the valet trash because it usually comes very late at night, so the garbage just sits in the hallway for hours. I prefer to take my trash directly to the chute, but I still have to pay for the service.
As I mentioned, the clubhouse and front desk areas are very clean, but they use extremely strong air fresheners. Every time I check my mail or go to the gym, the smell is overwhelming. I actually got a migraines from. It makes it hard for me to use the clubhouse because they seem to spray constantly.
The pool is not heated, which is unfortunate during the cooler months. Many people would still like to use the pool, but it’s too cold. Considering the amount of fees residents pay and that the complex advertises “resort-style living,” I think the pool should be heated.
Overall
Overall, it’s a pretty good place to live. I can hear the people above and beside me sometimes, but they’re not overly loud. However, the floors do seem fairly thin, and sound travels through the apartments more than expected. If someone louder lived nearby, it could be a bigger issue.
