BEWARE!!! I can't carry on a meeting in the either of the TWO Conference rooms, because of the music. I have to talk very loudly over it and so do others. I can't show a video presentation either. The presentation sound has to compete with the music! I currently lease a private office here. They have turned it into a lounge/club!! When you walk in the front entrance, they have a speaker in the hallway playing random, loud music around everyone’s offices. Then as you walk on down the hallway into the other communal areas by the shared kitchen space, and more offices, (which are close in proximity) they have completely different music playing very loudly. It not only disturbs those of us who pay to have an office or communal workspace, it also disturbs our clientele. I can't carry on a meeting in the Executive Conference room, because of the music. I have to talk very loudly over it and so do others. I can't show a video presentation either. The presentation sound has to compete with the music! It’s disturbing to be on a call with a client and they ask if I can please turn the music down. I have to explain to them that I can not. Now imagine having to say that with every phone call, every Zoom or virtual call. For Every client. RUN!! I can’t concentrate on my business to do my work. It’s no longer professionally quiet to conduct business in the Workhouse. Run fast!! Expeditiously. Management decided they need two different speakers playing music in our workspace to completely destroy our quiet, peaceful work atmosphere and destroy the ability to speak with our clients quietly! This is not a doctors office nor waiting room! We don’t need nor want background music of any kind - loud NOR soft. Bring back NO MUSIC AT ALL! No one that works here thought this through! If we wanted to hear music, we have the ability to play music in our offices or put our headphones or earbuds in. It’s so excruciatingly painful and annoying, I’m going to pay to cancel my lease early before they permanently affect my great rapport with my clients, continue to impede my ability to focus on my business, and negatively affect my financial profits. The two different musics started recently. I NEVER would have signed a lease on walk thru had I heard all this random loudness! The hilarity of it all is that the actual Workhouse/Union Terminal Warehouse Leasing Office does NOT play any music inside of their shared office space nor in the hallway of their offices!! Ironic! And telling! They don’t want that music in their own offices while working with people and on the phone, yet they decided they’re going to play it for ALL of us who pay. Management and staff do not care that we do not like it NOR want it!! It’s inconsiderate, unprofessional, and forced on us. If you enjoy a quiet workspace, this is not it! Many of us have been talking about it amongst ourselves that lease here and how annoying it is and why would they do it? Not one of us understands the logic nor lack of common sense behind it. No rhyme or reason for it. We can no longer set our own atmosphere for our clients nor be professionally focused by having a non-distracting, quiet office space. Workhouse took those options. Work elsewhere.

To clarify since the owner responded: The Wi-Fi password was never accurately provided to me nor was it posted anywhere. I asked multiple other coworkers who weren’t able to tell me what it was either and they weren’t able to find it posted anywhere as stated. I very literally had to guess it as a variation to what was provided after walking to the office twice, messaging, and asking other people coworking. The window units that were offered as an alternative to the model were priced more than $100 per month above the model and were directly next door to the model unit that was listed as available online. This is called the bait and switch method - to be clear on the business tactics employed by UT. I was never shown the model unit, nor any window unit, when touring, to speak to that point of “accuracy.” UT was not transparent in any aspect and zeroed out my account financially when I ended my coworking contract and they owed me money. —- The space appears very cool. Aesthetic gets 4.5 stars and it ends there. The leasing office never could supply me with the correct Wi-Fi password. They aren’t reachable by phone and my portal messages were ignored. I reached out 4 times over a week - online and in person - to lease an office (I started with coworking but it was too loud) that was listed as available online for $828 only to be told it wasn’t available because it’s their model unit. They wouldn’t offer another window office unit at that listed price and then they increased the model unit to over $6K. I ended my coworking membership at that point. I hope they’re able to work out the kinks and stop with the shady business practices. A residential property management company really shouldn’t be trying to manage a private office/ coworking space with the same sales tactics. The leasing agent wasn’t even aware of Expansive which is their biggest competitor downtown.
