The Man Who Reached the Stars

There’s an old saying that some places just feel like home, even if you never get the chance to live there — and that’s exactly how I’ve always felt about this apartment community. For years, I admired it every time I drove by. The beautiful landscaping, peaceful atmosphere, and the sense of pride in the property always stood out to me. I dreamed of living here one day, but despite my best efforts, I was never given the opportunity to call it home.
Life took me on a different path — I recently completed another degree and have been offered an apprenticeship to pursue my dream of becoming a NASA astronaut. As I get ready to leave this area to follow that journey, I still wanted to take a moment to recognize this apartment community. Even though I never had the chance to live here, I’ve seen firsthand how well-maintained it is, how safe it feels, and how many residents truly enjoy being here.
Thank you to the staff and community for being a place that inspired me, even from the outside. I’ll always wonder what it would’ve been like to live here, but I’m grateful I got to admire it while chasing the stars — literally.

Stopped in for a quick tour of the apartment complex and was pleasantly surprised by the amenities. Everything was quite peaceful, well kept and fully functional. The apartments themselves were very cozy, and had beautiful views. Nikki was also incredibly kind and informative about apartment events, rules and general information. Oasis is definitely top of my list on my ongoing apartment hunt.

The only reason I’m giving three stars is the grill. The gas grills were replaced with electric grills that don’t work too well. They’re new and already have issues. They take forever to preheat to a high temp. It has a heating element the same as an oven so you’re basically just cooking your steak in the oven without any of the flavor from a flame. Other than that the amenity’s are great. The gym is huge and there’s a nice game room. The pool area is beautiful and the staff is great.

This will be a long review. For reference, I have lived here for 2 years. The property is beautiful, they have a lot of events at the clubhouse & plenty of food trucks that visit each month. I personally never had an issue with noise and the amenities don't typically break down or need repairs often and the maintenance staff are very kind and quick to respond. My issue with this complex is the awful wifi, increased rent, and the management staff the last few months of my stay. As far as internet goes, it's the bare minimum. You can have streaming services and maybe work from home, but there's only one ethernet port in the living room and if you're into gaming, this will not be the best place for you. The wifi goes in and out constantly and the NAT type is fixed at D unless you call the wifi providers and have them try to change it, which even then it was still slow and you're stuck using the community provided wifi, no upgrades. So when rent is increased and you're already paying about $2k for still abysmal wifi, you start to wonder why you're paying for it. The AC also went out pretty frequently, though the staff are nice enough to provide you with a free filter to replace every month on your own, but even then, you can still tell something is wrong with their AC system because the maintenance guys would have to suction some water out of the AC unit things outside every couple of weeks just so it can run properly. Now on to management. When we first moved in, the leasing agent, Katie, was great and so genuinely kind and communicative. When it came time to renew our lease, she made sure to send me an email, leave a voicemail and a note in the door. Since then, Katie has left and was replaced by Madison, and interactions with the leasing staff become frustrating and disappointing. It is stated in our lease agreement to give a 60 days notice if you plan to renew or vacate in which when Katie was here, she made it very clear what she was communicating and what was needed from us. When it came time to renew for the 2nd time, there was little to no communication. We received no email, and no proper note or voicemail from Madison. The closest thing we received to a notice was a note that resembled the piece of paper in a fortune cookie that listed a lease special for current residents would only have to pay 50% of the new rent increase (how exciting) and a voicemail saying Madison wanted to discuss this. But there was no verbiage or email anywhere stating it was time to renew or to fill out a vacate form. So you can imagine my surprise when Madison called my significant other and I was woken out of my sleep to learn they were requesting a full month's rent because we failed to notify them if we were renewing or vacating. So naturally, I immediately went to the leasing office and asked her to explain when we were notified because we were not directly notified or asked. Madison then proceeded to say she technically left a voicemail and a note in the door and apparently there was supposed to be a bigger letter attached to the small one about the specials. I informed her we never received that letter and if she really thought the best way to inform residents about something so important and time sensitive is to leave a letter in the door that anyone at any time could come by and take? She started to panic a bit and offered that we only pay half but she couldn't waive it because she did "notify" us and at least stated it just had to be paid before move out, which the money isn't the problem. It's the principle of the situation and failing to admit where you were wrong. Even since move out, the staff have been snarky with their emails when I ask for clarification on things and even though we owe $20 in fees, that's not an issue but I asked for clarification on one of the charged items and the response was that they were kind enough to give us a discount. I can admit that the charge is factual and necessary, but the way she voiced that, was passive aggressive. You can do something "kind" and still be rude or snarky.
Me and my best friend Tootsie got to visit this apartment community, and oh wow, what a fun place! From the moment we arrived, our tails were wagging. There’s lots of open space for us to do our zoomies, and the paths are perfect for sniffy walks together.
Inside, the apartments had big sunny windows where we could curl up for naps, each of us claiming our own sun patch. The outdoor areas were even better—soft grass, fresh breezes, and plenty of spots to explore. Tootsie barked at a squirrel, and I was right there backing her up like a good best friend.
The people here were so kind too, always smiling at us and offering head pats. That made us feel right at home.
If you’re a pup (or you have one), this community is definitely tail-wag approved. Tootsie and I give it four happy paws and two wagging tails! 🐶🐶
