- AWAlyssa WaltersDec 1, 20255.0We recently purchased a home that was built by Clayton Homes. We’ve lived in our brand new 2024 home for almost 6 months. Everything has been going smoothly. We noticed just over this past weekend that we had mildew/mold coming from our shower wall. You could tell there was obviously a leak and or bad piping. We contacted our local Clayton Homes in Chiefland, FL. They sent out two gentlemen within the same hour. They removed the wall and found the faulty piece. They went straight to the hardware store and bought everything that was needed to be replaced. They advised that we keep an eye out on it. But we are super appreciative at how fast they came to help us and how friendly/understanding they were!

- BBbaileyOct 20, 20251.0Would not recommend. Floor of house has had issues (soft, sinking in spots, rising in others) and Clayton homes has decided they are not responsible for fixing the issue. Issue has been pointed out to manufacture and people at Clayton homes chiefland who have told us to our face we have “wet floors” and this is not normal. Instrument was used on floor and said ding ding ding floors are moist, yet they will not fix. Hard to show in pictures but imagine walking around and feeling soft spots under your feet, not the best feeling in a 2024 model. Quality is not where is should be. Also the contractors that were sent out to look at the issue showed up unannounced and didn’t have experience with this issue, seemed their main way of fixing was to bang on it really hard (didn’t help). Then they reached out to Clayton homes who said just pack it up its out of warranty. Ok that’s fine, but then I am going to share my experience with others and frankly it was not great!

I am one who doesn’t like shopping and dealing with salespeople. However the staff at Clayton homes is awesome they are not pushy and still very kind and helpful. If you’re in the market for a home I would stop by and at least look at all the options. We were looking at building through contractors and found that the price point with these guys is just hard to beat.
