The building itself is quite old, and so are many of the systems—especially the AC, which leads to noticeably high electricity bills. The apartments are fairly average overall, with no carpeting and a somewhat dated feel.
Many of the appliances are either outdated or not very reliable. For example, refrigerators tend to break down (though they are replaced when they do), sinks clog frequently, and the toilets are old and often don’t drain properly.
The surrounding neighborhood is also a concern, as police presence is frequent, which doesn’t contribute to a strong sense of safety.
The gym is another downside. It’s not well maintained—dumbbells have been missing for nearly a year (likely stolen) and haven’t been replaced. The equipment is limited, and some machines are out of order.
On the positive side, the view is great, and maintenance requests are generally handled. The manager, Olivia, is responsive and helpful, which makes a difference.
Overall, these are decent apartments, but they don’t justify the current pricing. Given their size, condition, and age, a one-bedroom should be closer to $1,200 and a two-bedroom around $1,400. At roughly 800 sq. ft., the units feel quite small and somewhat cramped.
If the rent were lower, the apartments might be worth considering, especially for the view and basic functionality—but at current prices, they feel overpriced for what they offer.
