- JJJeffFeb 10, 20261.0We purchased our house at the back of Northridge about 1 1/2 years ago and have had some bad experiences with the builder, post move in mostly. The house is ok, it's more the builders attitude and the sales dept total lack of consideration for their residents after they move in. Now we have the joy of this construction yard/concrete truck clean out in front of our house for the next year and a half. You see in the pic all of the open lots they could have put this, but they decided to wedge it right in between current residents. I spoke with Yohan, who says he runs "everything" over here and he had some long drawn out reasoning behind it. What was missing from his explanation was any consideration for current residents, all of whom have supported them in the past. This is the second time they’ve relocated this since we’ve been here. When we first moved in it was about 6 lots away, then, for some other poorly thought out reason, it was moved 2 lots away, then, for some unknown reason, they decided to build a house right next to it. Now Yohan tells me they are having trouble selling that house because of this eyesore, so they thought pinning it in between current residents until the neighborhood was done was the best plan they could come up with. During the construction of one the houses next to us we were constantly picking up garbage from their crew, they damaged our sidewalk, destroyed a section our lawn and splashed stucco over over the side of our house (which we had to have repainted) and it took months of phone calls and emails before things were resolved, and we were under warranty. We still have one open lot on our other side, so I asked Yohan for some reassurance that I can rely on him to fix these issues his workers cause in a timely manner if they happen. To my surprise, he pushed back and tells me he's "not going to babysit them" and refused to reassure me that he would resolve issues caused by his crews. I was so taken back because Yohan was one of our building managers and he did a good job, but what you'll find out is that these guys rely on your surveys for financial compensation...no more survey no more care it seems, at least with Yohan. What they should have done is put this construction yard in the center middle of all those open lots then build towards it on both sides. How about thinking about reducing the impact for all, including the people that have already bought homes and have supported Pulte in the past.
