- CMCathy Markland2 days ago1.0Went to see the model. Currently living in a Ryan Home so felt confident with the quality, features and benefits. Door was open so we walked in and was greated with a great deal of hostility. 2 associates available who could have shown us around the model. One was on a phone call the other just sitting there apparently doing nothing or maybe listening in on the call. We were told they didn't officially open until the next morning and we were then, quite directly, told to leave and come back tomorrow. We explained we drove 3 hours to see the model. We did see an advertisement with the model photo and ads saying they were now open for showings. No where did it say it wasn't open until the next day. They posted normal ad enticements to come see this new development. Terrible way to treat anyone let alone a cash buyer and previous customer of Ryan Homes. Of course, they didn't know this at the time nor did they take the time to find out. Neither associate offered any attempt to work with us and let us view the model. If they didn't want people in the model, then lock the darn door so people can't walk in and NEVER tell (not even asked) nice people to leave especially a potential sale. One bad experience (there have been several lately with this particular community and the current sales associates) leaves a lasting impression. Be sure anything they tell you is in writing. Don't believe anything said verbally. If it isn't in the 4 corners of your contract, is doesn't exist. Even though these are new homes, I recommend taking your own real estate agent to view the models. These associates represent Ryan Homes. Your own agent will represent YOU!
