  I'm writing this review to personally thank Earline (Concierge), Tay (Maintenance Tech), Kristen (Property Manager), and Courtney (Leasing Agent). Earlier this week, I submitted a service ticket after coming to the realization that my washing machine was malfunctioning and needed to be repaired or replaced. This was evidenced by loud popping and rattling noises that were disturbing, not only to me, but to my guests whenever I had company. I'm sure it was simply due to old age as all washing machines grow old eventually. The aforementioned team provided exceptional service in facilitating the replacement of my machine. This was my first time having an appliance replaced in my apartment so their support and leadership was greatly appreciated.

  2 WEEK REVIEW: Move In: I moved in early March and the process from viewing the unit to getting the keys was pretty smooth. The first unit I viewed/wanted was no longer available by the time I was ready to submit an application. However, Ingrid, one of the agents, was extremely helpful throughout the leasing process and remembered my specifications when she offered an alternative. Apartment: -Living in my unit has been great so far. Most of the things I was concerned about were cleaned/fixed before I moved in. The only con Is that my smoke alarm goes off whenever I use my airfryer (i have not burned a thing here mind you). -There was also one day where I got a call from maintenance asking for permission to enter my unit while I was at work despite not submitting a work request… I’m unsure if this was a result of my move-in inspection comments, but no notice or follow up was given which is somewhat concerning. They also close at 5:00pm so if you work a 9-5 and you also dont like people in your home without you there, take note of that. Amenities: -Parking is GREAT. I love LOVE that it is garage parking with fob access—gives me so much peace pf mind knowing sometimes I have to work late -Pool is not open yet so cant review now -The gym is okay. I wish there were more machines like a Stairmaster, but you can still get basic workouts in. Like all other amentities, it can only be accessed with a fob so you don’t have to worry abt randos getting in. -Close proximity to fast food/Walmart has really come in handy. It is very convenient to be able to do a quick trip downstairs (Im on the 2nd floor) when in need. Concierge: I haven’t needed to interact with concierge that much, which I see as a good thing in all honesty. But I do want to mention how much I appreciate how helpful they are! I got locked out of my apartment a few days ago and alerted concierge of the issue. DeeDee, the attendant on staff at the time, immediately came to my aid without stalling or asking me to wait which I greatly, greatly appreciated (thanks again!). I hope my interactions with staff will remain this pleasant in the future.

  My experience with Fort Totten Square has been nothing short of amazing. From my first encounter with the property to move in which took less than 1 week, Oge is exceptional, she’s what everyone says she is and more, I told her we were ready to move in asap and she went over and above, showed us an apartment when it wasn’t convenient because we didn’t have an appointment, helped fix the issue we had with our application, had our approval in 1 day which was surprising because it was not a work day. Despite all the checks and procedures she communicated and handled all paper work promptly and made sure the apartment was in good shape when we arrived, the place is such a breathe of fresh air, everywhere is always clean and smells nice, everyone is so warm and friendly, neighbors, staff, front desk/concierge are always so responsive and helpful. The environment is so nice and close to everything I want. Overall I count it a big blessing to have found this place.
