If you would have asked me how was the VERGE a year ago I would have given it 5 stars. Isiah the former leasing manager left. Isiah was the definition of professionalism. I had high hopes when management changed, but I have been a little disappointed. Since Isiah left there is a lack of professionalism, responsiveness, and proactiveness.
Majority of the residence here are nice, respectful, professionals. However, there seems to be an influx of people moving in with vouchers. Unfortunately and should I say sadly, you can tell who some of them are. Sometimes you can’t even enjoy the rooftop because young people or just people with no class or sense of respect for others are up there acting a fool. This was especially the case over the summer. I had invited some friends over for a business meeting a group of girls who looked like teens smoking and drinking, decided to shoot a Twerking Tik Tok video in the lounge while we were meeting. Just after I bragged about how nice the building and people who lived here were.
Many times management and leasing staff don’t even acknowledge you not even as far as to say good morning, or good afternoon, when you walk past them. Shows lack of common courtesy. The residents always speak, so do the concierges and maintenance team. This is just management and leasing staff.
Management has turned off the ability to use the TV amenities in the upstairs lounge and in the gym area. Defeating the purpose of paying an amenity fee. This would have never happened under the previous manager. We the paying customers are not kids, we are paying adults. Why regulate the use of the TV’s? Can’t even enjoy the spaces now cuz there is a child lock in the TV lol. Under previous management some of the residents would like to go upstairs and watch sports in the lounge. Many of the residents would gather together and watch the football games together. It helped you get to know the other tenants and come together. Current management killed that comradery.
What professionalism existed when Isiah the previous manager was here is slowly seeping away. Management makes all the difference. Management just needs to do better. Especially with communicating events and other things going on. Like flooded areas, broken door to gym, elevators down. Communication is lacking and just overall professionalism.
On a positive note, the concierge team is amazing. What management and leasing lacks in professionalism and customer service, the concierges makes up for it. Management and leasing should definitely attend the course the concierges took.
I believe 3 stars is a fair review because the building, open spaces, maintenance team, and concierge teams are all up to par and exceeds expectations. I took two stars away due to the lack of professionalism from management and leasing especially in the areas of response time, communication, customer service, and basic courtesy. And over regulation of TVs in the amenity areas. This is a very beautiful building and management should compliment its beauty.
What advice I would give to management and leasing is don’t just be professionals, responsive, courteous, and provide great customer service when you’re getting someone to move in, or renew a lease. Extend that same customer service, professionalism, responsiveness, and courtesy to those who who pay to live here every month an in between lease renewals.

I signed a lease here and moved out early because the apartment flooded from the pool and the treatment I received as a tenant deserves categorical condemnation. The customer service and communication from management is severely lacking. Water got into my apartment, maintenance came to fix it and just left the wiring exposed from the shower light and management did not notify me. The sprinklers went off in the mail room and they had to have it repaired, there were giant fans all around the first floor and management did not notify any residents. The amenities and hallways are nice but can get dirty (ants, trash, etc.). I moved out in September and the apartment still was not fully restored with rust on the vents and stains on the walls from water and moisture leaking in. Also Verge will not compensate you if your apartment floods even when it is their fault they will tell you to go through your home insurance which if you use the one they recommend it has a $500 deductible and a lot of rules that are not clear up front. Get your own home insurance, do not do autopay, and do not live in one of the apartments below the pool it will probably flood at the most and at the very least your health will likely be compromised because where there’s moisture — there’s mold.
