We moved in when JBG Smith was managing the property, and they were exceptional - professional, competent, and friendly. When Westminster took over, this changed immediately. Too many issues to enumerate here, but a few examples:
— We got three different directives from three different staff on moving out procedures. Staff were unresponsive when we tried to follow up and seemed confused about the actual protocol when we actually got someone to respond. One front desk staff member said they would confirm a loading dock reservation for us, and the next day we stopped by to ask if it was done. It was not, and a different person staffing the desk said, “oh, I wouldn’t trust anything he says.” It did not sound like a joke.
— More confusion when renewing our last lease - multiple emails went unanswered for weeks, and we had to physically go to the office to get them to give us a lease before the deadline for renewal passed.
— On three occasions while we were out of town three different times, our pet sitter could not access the building for more than 30 minutes because the desk was not staffed. We often encountered the same pattern of absence. We emailed management and they asked for times so they could correct the situation; they didn’t do a sufficient job. We continued to observe this until we left.
If you do decide to move here, do not move to building C (courtyard). The floors are so thin, our dishes would shake in our cabinets when we had an upstairs neighbor with a heavy footfall. You can hear people walking in the hallway a floor above - not just directly above you. The floors shake when a neighbor upstairs or downstairs does laundry. Hilariously, we received an email from management in October 2024 acknowledging how noisy the building is and instructing us to “work together to create the tranquil environment you deserve!” by, among other things, “hanging door curtains as a simple and effective soundproofing solution.” Unless they’re load-bearing curtains, probably not going to help.
Also, the valet trash service may be attractive to some people, but in our experience, it just made our hallway smell like garbage.
One huge perk: living above a Trader Joe’s is objectively awesome.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Shabora Minson, an incredible agent, while searching for an apartment in Washington DC. I cannot recommend her enough. From the very beginning she made me feel welcome, was patient in helping me find the perfect unit, was responsive and incredibly professional. She made my entire relocation experience smooth and stress-free. The Glover House is a wonderful community of staff and tenants. Blake, Jay, Collette, Flash and the entire maintenance staff go above and beyond in making you feel welcome and supported. Location and building are exceptional. Six stars!
I’m thrilled to share my experience at [Property Name]—a residential community that’s not just a place to live, but a warm, welcoming home where locals feel truly rooted. As someone who values comfort, community, and reliable care, this property has exceeded every expectation, and I can’t recommend it highly enough to anyone searching for a place to call their own.
First, let’s talk about the vibe: this isn’t your typical impersonal apartment complex. The grounds are meticulously maintained—lush green spaces, clean walkways, and cozy common areas that feel like an extension of your living room. Whether you’re grabbing coffee on your way to work, chatting with neighbors by the mailbox, or unwinding after a long day, there’s a sense of warmth and familiarity here that’s hard to find. It’s the kind of place where you don’t just pass by people—you wave, you check in, and you feel like part of a real community. For locals who crave that "neighborhood feel" amid busy daily life, this property delivers in spades.
And then there’s Mr. Griffith, the property manager—he’s the heart and soul of this community. His professionalism is unmatched: any request, big or small, is handled promptly, thoroughly, and with a smile. Need a repair? He follows up to make sure it’s done right. Have a question about your lease? He explains everything clearly and patiently. But what really stands out is his genuine passion for taking care of residents. He remembers your name, asks how your family is doing, and goes out of his way to make sure you’re comfortable...
Lived here for a year and would not recommend. Leasing office seems to think that a good business practice is to literally ghost in the middle of negotiations. Left me in a very difficult situation after promising me a unit that i eventually discovered had already been leased out to another tenant. No apology or acknowledgement whatsoever lol cheaply constructed building, very noisy

Just leased an apartment there and it is great! Perfect location. Shabora, our leasing agent was great, proactive and friendly! We leased the apartment without even looking at it and can’t be happier.
