Noise: I am a very light sleeper and am sensitive to noise. My unit faces the courtyard and has been surprisingly quiet...much quieter than I had imagined for city-living. I also rarely ever hear my next door neighbors...either they must be very quiet or the sound insulation is excellent. Trader Joe’s: It is unbelievably convenient having at TJs in the building. Yes, you can live in a nearby building and it is also convenient. But, at the Edison you can literally take the elevator up from TJs to your floor. No need to schlep your groceries at all. Building size and layout: I like how this is not an enormous building with 10 floors and 500 units, like many new apartment buildings in DC. It never feels crowded here and there is not a lot of foot traffic. Concierge: Christopher at the front desk is unbelievably friendly and a true professional. He truly cares about the tenants. Of course, there is much more I could say about the apartment features (which are top-notch) and the great location. I have only had one minor maintenance issue since I’ve been here, and it was handled very promptly.
