Khoa, one the receptionists at this building, is misogynistic, hostile, aggressive, and shockingly unprofessional. When I came to pick up a package, Khoa was unable to locate it and immediately blamed the delivery person, even though he had no proof. When I calmly pointed out that the package might be in the mountain of packages on the floor, he began using profane, degrading language. He insulted me personally, saying things like “you are ugly and that’s why you can’t get a boyfriend” and “your mouth stinks.” He also pretended to spit in my face. I am a petite woman, which might have made me think he can intimidate me. When I asked who was on duty when the package arrived (which had been delivered days earlier), he initially refused to tell me, claiming it wasn’t his job. He then pointed his fingers aggressively in my face while continuing to yell and insult me. Worse, he threatened me directly, saying “I’m going to fight you if you come down to the office tomorrow,” and shouted “go to your room,” which was both infantilizing and demeaning. His conduct is completely unacceptable in multiple ways: Sexism & Misogyny: His comments targeted me as a woman, with remarks about my appearance and relationship status—clear examples of misogynistic and sexist behavior. Saying “you’re ugly and that’s why you can’t get a boyfriend” is a deliberate attempt to humiliate and degrade me based on gender that is unacceptable for anyone to make, let alone someone in a customer-facing role. Verbal Harassment & Threats: Making personal insults crosses every boundary of appropriate behavior and threatening violence (“I’m going to fight you”) is not only abusive—it could be grounds for legal action. Infantilizing & Power-Driven Language: Telling a woman to “go to your room” is condescending, patronizing, and infantilizing. Physical Intimidation – Finger Pointing: Pointing fingers in someone’s face during a disagreement is aggressive, disrespectful, and borders on physical intimidation. It signals hostility and a complete lack of professionalism, escalating what should have been a routine interaction into an emotionally unsafe confrontation. Unprofessional & Untrained: This conduct is the exact opposite of what’s expected from someone in a customer-facing, service-oriented role. It reflects a complete lack of training, emotional maturity, and basic standards of respectful communication. Khoa’s behavior was not just rude—it was abusive, threatening, and steeped in misogynistic, power-driven hostility. No resident should be subjected to intimidation or verbal assault in their own building. Until the management of 925 Apartments’ takes immediate action to stop this behavior, I strongly caution prospective tenants—especially women—against moving into a place where this kind of toxic behavior is allowed to continue unchecked.

I’ve lived in this building for nearly four years, and for the most part, my experience has been great. The staff here are truly wonderful—always polite, professional, and present. There’s always someone at the front desk, and they go out of their way to be helpful. The location is another huge plus. If you’re a GW student or just want to be close to downtown D.C., it doesn’t get more convenient. You’re near campus, the metro, Georgetown, and surrounded by great restaurants and grocery stores. The building itself is older, but that never bothered me. What did become a problem—and the reason I’m writing this review—is the MICE. 🐁 🐭 Until recently, I had only heard of the horror stories from other tenants and even the concierge. But as soon as I started preparing to move out, the mice made their unwelcome debut in my unit. I haven’t slept properly in nearly a week because I’m constantly on edge, especially at night. I’ve been sleeping in the lobby the past couple nights out of sheer fear. I understand some people might say that’s a personal phobia—and sure, maybe it is—but if I’m paying rent, I think it’s fair to expect to feel safe and comfortable in my own apartment. To the building’s credit, they did respond quickly and brought in an exterminator who laid down traps and bait. But either these mice are geniuses or just bold—they’ve dodged every trap. A part of me, the animal lover, feels relief that they’re avoiding such a cruel fate. But the other part of me just wants my space back. I don’t want them harmed—I just want them out of my apartment. The exterminator explained that it’s likely the mice have been there all along but stayed hidden until I started packing. Still, it’s incredibly frustrating and upsetting to be run out of your own apartment by a tiny intruder. I want to be fair: I truly loved living here, and had it not been for this recent experience, I would have continued recommending the building to other students. It’s a quiet, mostly student-filled environment in a fantastic location with great staff. But potential tenants should be aware that mice are an issue in this building. If you’re comfortable coexisting with the occasional rodent—or are at least mentally stronger than I am about it—this place might still be a good fit. But for me, this experience has been traumatizing enough to change my overall recommendation.

The tenant below me has been chain-smoking inside their unit for over five months, and my entire apartment has been flooded with toxic cigarette smoke every single day. My health has suffered as a result of the constant secondhand exposure and the building management has done absolutely nothing. No remediation. No compensation. Just indifference. Instead of helping, they had the audacity to offer me a different unit with a rent increase. Then they tried to trap me into signing another year-long lease in a smoke-infested building. It’s disgraceful. This place is a health hazard, run by people who clearly do not care about tenant safety or well-being. I’m moving out, and I cannot stress this enough: Avoid this building at all costs. You’ll regret ever signing here.

Aside from how old the building is, I love my apartment. I've been here for over a year. It's clean, spacious and comfy. Maintenance is always helpful and prompt when any issues arise which is rare. The reception staff is awesome, friendly and always available. The fact that the door is always locked and no one can enter without a fob is great. I feel so safe living here as a single woman. It's quiet, clean and the neighborhood is too. Everyone keeps to themselves pretty much. Nothing is perfect and there are a few issues but when I report them, they are addressed.

Extremely disappointed. Zabida the leasing officer made it awful. I am moving out after a year and could not be happier. Zabida never did her job and made living there miserable. I sent in multiple complaints and the offices never resolved the issue. These apartments do not care about you. Do not rent from them.
