Rat infestation causes a disgusting smell on the ground floor. The laundry room was closed for months to address the smell, but the stench remains. There is mold all over, from the stairwells (pic included) to the “newly renovated” laundry room. The building is filthy and the management is unprofessional. I would not recommend the Quebec House to anyone.

The South building gym, rooftop, and laundry room are now reopened. The hot tub is still closed. I haven’t seen any signs of pests except mosquitoes in the gym. The good: love the location, apartments are large, big windows, pet friendly, amazing front desk staff who are so friendly and helpful! Lots of fun events with free food and drinks. The other tenants are generally nice and respectful. Utilities and parking lot are included in the rent. Grounds are well kept. Packages well managed. The bad: The leasing process was frustrating. Their website does not work for making appointments, the phone numbers did not work, and I found it difficult to contact the leasing office. Be aware that many of the units in the building are not recently renovated and do not look as good as the photos online. I am disappointed with the time it is taking them to repair issues in my apartment. A few fire alarm mishaps. I would love some updated gym equipment and a community grill. Overall, I like Quebec house. With some improvements, it would be even better.

7-25-25 Re: Excellent work performed by electrician. Andre, on Wednesday, 7-16-25 The power in my apartment was almost completely off, except for the refrigerator. Andre arrived around 9:00 AM and began to examine every outlet and ceiling light. This required moving personal property in order to reach some outlets. Andre was meticulous, professional and courteous in doing what needed to be done. He showed that he was intelligent and personable, when I asked him questions. I had to leave the apartment, so Andre re- mained to complete the job, alone. When I returned all the power was restored, and my personal property was put back exactly where it was moved from. In ad- dition to Andre's other positive qualities, he also showed he had a good memory. It has been over a week since Andre did his work and everything is still running fine. For all of the above reasons, I want to commend Andre in the highest terms for what he did for me! Thanks, Andre, for everything. You are a treasure. Raphael Kahn Thank you, Quebec House, for getting right on this emergency!

I’ve been dealing with a rodent issue in my apartment that took over four weeks to be fully addressed. While I appreciate that the gap under my front door — where the mouse likely entered — has finally been fixed, the process to get there was frustrating and disappointing. Management provided very little communication throughout. I received only one voicemail, but when I tried to return the call, the number was unavailable. I followed up with two emails and submitted multiple work orders, and I also asked the front desk several times to have someone call me — but no one from management followed up. I do want to give a shout-out to the front desk staff for doing their best to help me during this process. They were the only ones who consistently communicated with me outside of that one voicemail weeks ago. Two weeks ago, someone from maintenance came by, made a hole in the wall, and covered it with tape. My younger brother, who was visiting, said they mentioned it was for mouse-proofing — and then they left. I was never told what the next steps were or given any timeline. I was also asked to move everything off the HVAC wall and clear out the entire kitchen — a big ask in a 480 sq ft studio — with no clear explanation or timeframe. While someone did come today to complete the mouse-proofing, I still have not received any direct communication from management explaining what was done. This is a serious health and safety issue, and the response should have been quicker, better coordinated, and more transparent. From the beginning, I clearly communicated with the front desk that I would be away for work the week of June 23 and hoped the issue could be resolved during that time. I was told the exterminator would come on Friday the 27th. However, when I called that day, I was told the exterminator does not deal with rodents. Later, I received a voicemail from management saying someone would come Monday, the 30th — which I was not available for. Despite my attempts to contact management to reschedule, I received no response. I even asked the front desk to pass along the message that I’d be gone again starting the week of July 7. Due to the lack of communication, I had to take time off work on the 30th to ensure no one entered while I was unavailable — especially because of concerns about equipment, fumes, and leaving my dog alone in those conditions. Overall, this experience has been stressful and poorly managed. I hope they improve communication and accountability moving forward — especially when tenant health is involved. I would also still like to know what is going on.
