    My time at Montgomery Mills Apartments was overall a positive experience. With this being a historical building there was added charm, with the large windows, exposed brick and high ceilings. Management and the maintenance staff were available when needed and quick to help. Luis and Ramon, on the maintenance staff, are personable, easy to talk to, always willing to help, and a friendly face to see around the building. As with any place there are always positives and negatives. Pros: - Each unit has a washer and dryer, with the unit that I had there was also additional storage where the washer and dryer were. - Water is also included - Everything is updated and well maintained throughout the building, not including the elevator - Dog friendly, most of the residents with dogs are very friendly and the animals are well behaved. As stated in the lease agreement, there is a two-pet maximum yet there is one resident that has five dogs, two cats, and a menagerie of other animals. Which is a little disconcerting as that is a lot of animals for a smaller space to be residing in. Nevertheless, most of the pet owners are great and have well behaved pets. - Great location, as there are shops nearby, quick access to the highway, and there is a state park trial that is nice to get exercise on. - Friendly neighbors. Overall, most of the neighbors are very friendly. There was one resident that tried to force a friendship, be wary of this person as they use any information you tell them into fodder with all other residents that they talk to. When you try to distance yourself from them they then try to create false allegations against you to make you feel uncomfortable at the property. Cons: - The trash and recycling chute tends to get backed up frequently on the weekends, and the large trash bin outside tends to get filled up fast as well. - The main elevator is very slow and tends to break down, if you do not live close to the main elevator you will have a trek to get to it and back. - As with old buildings, the windows can be drafty. - Mailroom gets overcrowded with people not picking up their packages. - Deliveries, food deliveries included, can be placed outside of the building as it is not always clear on where to go. - Packages can occasionally go missing. Overall, this is a nice place to live, with attentive staff, clean common areas, and a well-kept facility. As with any review, this reflects my personal experience living at the property.

    I got approved for affordable housing months back and have been trying to contact the leasing office and havent been so lucky. When i have gotten in reach the front desk woman has always had a attitude and seems to never know what she is talking about. I have left numerous messages and no one ever seems to get back at me. When i got approved months ago i was told by ryan there was one person moving in infront of my application and then i would be good to go. i never got a call and my voicemails and emails where never answered. Now there all the sudden the place is stocked up with tenants. Im basically homeless because of this situation. This has been a very upsetting experience... Get better people working in the leasing office who actually take there job seriously!
