  Overall, Alterra is a nice apartment complex with good management. Unfortunately, I was surprised with a $400 charge for stained carpets filed upon completion of my final walkthrough of my apartment at the completion / turnover of my lease. During the final walkthrough, vocal comments were made by a property representative that described the condition of the apartment as “incredible” and that there was “normal wear and tear”. As there was no mention to me of the “stained carpets”, I am disappointed with the charge and that there was a discrepancy between comments made during the walkthrough and written notes made after the walkthrough.

  Beautiful place. Rachel answered all of my questions and concerns. I was impressed with of course the model. I hope the actual apartment is just as nice. I liked that its only 5 minutes to work. Thats a huge advantage over everyone else. I am 90% sure this will become my new home. Once again, thank you for the tour. David

  The apartments themselves are very aesthetically appealing, but there is next to no parking and a particular office staff member was very cold and unwelcoming to my roommate and I. First impressions are greatly impacted by positive or negative vibes from the employees and this woman acted like we were wasting her time. We had to pull information out of her instead of it being freely offered about the apartments, and she was misleading about the availability of the particular apartment we were looking at. She told us there were none available (after we had already taken the tour), but the website says something different. I sincerely hope other people have better experiences here than I did.
