Do not rent an apartment here.
I’ve lived here for over four months and have made multiple attempts to work with management to resolve ongoing issues, but nothing has been addressed.
Parking is the biggest problem. There are approximately 96–97 units and the same number of reserved parking spaces, yet management has allowed some residents to hold multiple reserved spots—two or even three—while other residents have none. This means anyone who rents later has virtually no chance of getting a reserved space. A fair solution would be one reserved spot per unit, but management has refused to implement this.
There is also no reliable on‑site management. We’re told someone is on site three days a week, but when you call during those times, no one answers. Instead, you’re routed to an AI system and eventually receive a callback. I had a 15‑minute conversation with Ricky about my concerns, and he said he would follow up. He never did.
The neighbors are rude and inconsiderate, frequently stomping around above my unit. When I politely asked them to be more mindful, they laughed. When I brought this up to management, I was told, “That’s just part of apartment living.”
Management’s solution to the parking issue is a convoluted parking map that sends residents to an overflow lot about a quarter mile away. This means walking back to your unit late in the evening, in the dark. That feels unsafe and unprofessional, and I can only imagine how uncomfortable this would be for many women. I don’t understand how the City of Littleton or Arapahoe County approved this complex with such insufficient parking.
Overall, this property is poorly managed, dismissive of resident concerns, and inconvenient at best. As soon as my lease is up, I will be leaving. I strongly recommend you do not move here.
New movers – please read:
1. Julie no longer works at Switchback, so any reviews mentioning her are no longer relevant.
2. This apartment complex used to be great—until the parking changes in October 2025.
Previously, everyone paid $8/month and parking was first come, first served within the Switchback on Platte complex. In September 2025, management resurfaced the lot and added numbered spaces. To pay for this, they introduced “premium parking” at $15/month per spot.
The problem? These “premium” spots aren’t covered or upgraded in any meaningful way—they’re simply closer to buildings. It feels like a blatant cash grab.
The result has been a mess:
• Residents compete for the limited non-reserved spots
• People regularly park in fire lanes
• There are far too many cars for the available parking
Management does not actively patrol the lot and instead relies on residents to report each other for towing. This creates a hostile, toxic and frustrating living environment.
To make matters worse:
• New residents are stuck on long waitlists for reserved spots
• Parking is shared with the seminary and only available during limited hours
• Building 3 has virtually no nearby parking, forcing residents to park far away—or illegally
Overall, the system is confusing, inconvenient, and poorly managed.
A simple solution:
Return to a system where each apartment is assigned one reserved space, with additional vehicles using a secondary lot (as was done previously by the seminary and in years past).
Good luck—you’ll need it.
