We had an extremely disappointing experience with this apartment complex from move-in to move-out.
When we moved into our unit last year, it was in unacceptable condition. The apartment had clearly not been cleaned, despite management claiming otherwise. There was a strong odor of cat urine, feces on the carpet, urine on the toilet, and food throughout the kitchen. Due to the overwhelming smell, we were unable to move our belongings in right away and had to wait while they replaced the carpet (something that should have been done prior to our move-in date). Additionally, there were dozens of holes in the walls and other damage.
We documented and reported all of these issues to the office immediately upon move-in. Management apologized and assured us that these conditions would not impact our security deposit.
We paid a $1,700 deposit to move into a disgusting apartment.
When we moved out, we took extra care to leave the unit in significantly better condition than we found it, expecting our full deposit back. We paid for professional cleaning and painting and ensured that all holes, both ours and pre-existing, were properly repaired.
Despite this, we then spent four months going back and forth with management trying to resolve issues with our deposit return. After finally meeting in person with the property managers, Joyclyn and Lindsey, we were shocked to learn we were being charged additional cleaning and painting fees.
We were previously told multiple times over the phone by Joyclyn that we would receive our full deposit back. However, when we brought this up in person, she lied to our faces in front of her manager. When we asked them to review their recorded calls, they had no response.
In the end, we moved into a unit that was not cleaned or properly prepared, left it in better condition than we received it, and were still unfairly charged.
This has been the most dishonest and unprofessional property management experience we have ever encountered. We are attaching photos from the day we moved in to show the condition they considered acceptable.

We have lived here for almost 2 years now and we’ve had the typical issues any person runs into when living in apartments. Our unit is not exactly up to date, maintenance requests take a while, people not picking up after pets, etc. however people often forget we live in a place that is also a business. So we keep that into consideration. I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews so I wanted to share a little positivity. Prior to our move in date, a family member passed away in another state. Ana, who showed us our unit, met with us and completely understood our situation and pushed our move in date further so we could be with our family. That’s just one example of kindness. They also host a number of activities and giveaways for the tenants in this community which we were lucky enough to be their secret Santa recipient this year. I’ve seen a number of changes in the past few months including updates to the grounds and buildings, improvements in the maintenance staff, and better communication overall. We have a really enjoyed living here and have never had any issues with our neighbors. Thank you skyecrest for all that you do!
