  Terrible customer service, they let you put in applications and take your money when they have no spots available. I waited two weeks before I had to call them to find out what the issue was. Do not do business with this shady company.

  I live in one of their communities (The reserve at Sleepy Hollow) in Texas. The community is ok. But the Manager Lori is an issue. And contacting someone FROM cairn is impossible...there is no phone number to an office....you have to put in the name of someone....and none of the ppl you google...work there apparently.

  Update: our leases tell us we have to have rent paid by the 5th of every month at the latest but they give us a pay window from the 1st to the 5th. The property manager writes notices for full payment due or eviction process if not paid in 10 days on the 2nd of the month then has workers post the notices on the 3rd of the month, my rent is not late nor have I ever failed to pay my rent so why is she issuing notices days before rent has to be paid? I don't know if its the company or just the site manager we have but customer service is aboslute trash. The manager is rude, aggeessive, and condescending. Puts notices on the door saying final notice and must comply by date on notice but the notice was dated a day prior for example date signed and dated 12/3 by management date posted 12/4. Was home the whole day on the 3rd no notice was posted was home until 1:15 on the 4th no notice was posted by then, came home at 4:45 and boom a notice had been posted dated for the 3rd and I had to comply by the 3rd? How was I to know if I didnt even get a notice till late afternoon on the 4th? I've been on the property for just over 2 years and since Cairn took over this year the management is terrible on top of 2 rent increase this year one before my lease was up and another not even 2 months later, the workers they have remodeling "new" homes are using other peoples electricity to do their remodels. I came home to catch them plugging into my electrical outlet without permission. I told them no that it is not acceptable to do that without permission or compensation. I informed our manager and she pretty much called me a liar. The workers are working a few homes down now and have run their extension cords to another home a few houses up. I don't have proof that they used mine since as I'm usually at work during their work hours but catching them plugging in as I came home and telling them thet could not do that, plus my over $60 increase on my light bill tells me they definitely used my power. They should be using a generator for the remodeling.

  They misrepresented the property claiming it to be a 2022 model home when it clearly isn’t even a 2000 model at all. All they do is paint a put some fixture up and make a new porch a call it brand new . We broke out in a rash being we are both alergic to pet dander an we found out by neighbors that this do called new home was previously rented by a man who was never home but had several dogs occupying the home an were unattended. Therefore they urinated an had dog poop everywhere . They had guys paint but the house wasn’t cleaned I did that . An before the month was even due she was already threatening to evict me but when I paid my house before due date there was nothing she could do until the following month she did it again so they get people in then find any reason to get them kicked out an then rent the place all over again .   I live in one of the cairn communities. I just got a final notice to mow grass. It says the final notice date is Thursday October 23rd, date issued supposedly Friday October 23rd, but date to mow is monday October 23rd. Fine will be 100$ and they will do a forced mow, but then charge 10$ a day until mowed. How does any of this make sense? Grass is not that too high, it hasn't even been raining.. but when I want to call to communicate our mower is broken, none of the phone numbers work yet. Not able to get ahold of any property manager for months now. I guess I will be calling the Joshua property again. Cairn communities does a poor job of managing their properties it seems. By the way, this final notice to mow is extreme, given we havent even gotten a first or second. Oh and another notice they will be raising our rent come January.
