I’ve broken my review into sections based on my three months living at The Wyatt. While there were some positives, my overall experience leaned more negative than positive, and I would look elsewhere.
Management: 3/5
Management was generally respectful, responsive, and approachable. I never felt dismissed when raising concerns. However, my initial tour left a bad impression; I was shown an accessible unit and was told the only difference was “more storage,” which was untrue. While day-to-day interactions were friendly, starting my lease on a misleading statement didn’t sit well.
Unit Maintenance: 4/5
The unit I moved into had carpet that smelled strongly of urine and should have been addressed before move-in. To their credit, a full replacement was arranged quickly and at no cost. Maintenance overall was inconsistent—sometimes very prompt, other times slow, like taking five days to fix a disconnected dryer duct. Issues were resolved, but reliability varied.
Parking: 1/5
Parking was consistently frustrating. If you lived on the north end of the complex, finding a spot after 7 PM was nearly impossible, often forcing me to park far from my unit. Many tenants resorted to using visitor parking overnight or parking across the street. The $8 monthly fee for tenants and $3 nightly guest fee felt unjustified given the lack of availability.
Landscaping/Complex Maintenance: 2/5
The complex didn’t feel well maintained. While mowing was regular, most of the property relied on rocks instead of grass, which looked cheap and limited usable outdoor space. Weeds often grew tall and unkempt, creating a neglected feel. Landscaping came across as more functional than welcoming.
Unit Experience: 2/5
I lived in the Silver floor plan (871 sq ft), and the layout made it feel smaller than expected. The living room was carpeted, long, narrow, and dim, with only a sliding door for light. The "dining area" near the cabinets felt like wasted space. Storage was lacking for a unit of this size, and the appliances and cabinets were clearly budget quality. Odd design choices, like putting a ceiling fan in the living room instead of the bedroom, added to the sense that the space wasn’t thoughtfully designed.
Amenities & Community: 3/5
The gym was solid for a small complex, with plenty of dumbbells, a rack, and cardio equipment. The pool was usable but not consistently clean, with rules often unenforced. I saw kids biking around the pool and families leaving the area messy after loud parties. Many tenants didn’t respect the property. Hallways sometimes smelled from heavy bags of kitty litter, and one tenant allowed their child to draw with chalk and scatter berries and silly string on the sidewalks, creating a hazard for dogs and an eyesore. The first-floor patio of that same unit looked like a storage closet, creating a messy impression. How management allowed this is beyond me.
Walkability: 1/5
Walkability was a major downside. The complex is right next to a Harmony - a six-lane highway - making walking unpleasant and unsafe. Sidewalks ended abruptly, forcing me into the road where I was almost hit multiple times. If you have a dog or enjoy daily walks, this is not the location for you.
Overall: 2/5
The Wyatt has a few strengths, like approachable staff and a decent gym, but those positives were overshadowed by poor parking, limited walkability, lackluster landscaping, and units that felt cheaply designed. Combined with an overall lack of community respect, I felt the value wasn’t there. My time here was more frustrating than enjoyable, and I would not choose to renew.
