Prior to the new management company, I would’ve left a one star review. Previous management sold me on one unit then switched me into another unit on move-in day without prior knowledge. Not a fun experience, especially since the new unit wasn’t ready to be moved into (and I had nowhere else to stay). But the new company has been very responsive and helpful when things come up. Francisco, the property manager, is always a great help and quick to get things taken care of. The building is in a great location with lots of great restaurants and bars nearby. I appreciate the help from Four Star, and Francisco, for being much more on top of everything.

I’ve lived in this building for nearly 2 years and though we’ve gone through a lot of property management companies, the root of every single issue is Paskin, the building owners. I have fostered relationships with everyone manager and maintenance person who have come through and the common theme is always the lack of money the owners of the property are willing to provide to hire more maintenance workers, replace appliances, fix the garage doors, and enhance security. Trust me when I say I’ve had my share of issues, a leak, mold, broken dishwasher, you name it. If these management companies were given the okay by Paskin (the property owner) to hire more maintenance and/contract workers, most of these issues could have been avoided and that goes for all of the units in this building. Preventative maintenance!! Through multiple property managers, we have been left with only 1 or 2 maintenance people and currently only have 1. He manages 2 other properties as well and every time he comes to my unit to tend to something, he’s kind, respectful and communicative. I feel bad for a lot of the people that get stuck working for this property because it seems like an easy feat at first with how small it is but the greediness from Paskin has ruined this building and the reputation. Paskin, if you read this, here’s what you can do to make it right for not only me but every other resident at B Street LoHi: Enhance security for the building - add a Butterfly MX system to the front like nearly every other building in the neighborhood and in Denver!! The current one is outdated, and so are the codes. Also, the last property manager promised a lock/code system on the door into the mail/package room.. where is that? Replace garage doors with more modern equipment so that they open and close quicker to avoid people sneaking in behind resident vehicles and make it not see through so belongings (bikes) and vehicles are not seen and targeted by thieves. Also please get both garages cleaned! Mostly the top floor! Replace all water heaters in every. single. unit. This has been a huge problem for many residents including myself whether they are leaking or just not producing hot water for residents. They are as old as the building (11 years old) and need to go! Lastly, the dumpster location would absolutely rid of homeless presence if it was permitted to be in a garage, also like other buildings do in the neighborhood. People sleep on our property because of the easy access to things in the dumpster like furniture and clothing (donate your stuff people.) There are definitely smaller issues that would help the property like landscaping and window cleaning but I feel that the things I listed are big issues that would trickle down to help other issues not come up at all - again, preventative maintenance. There is truly just an overall lack of accountability by Paskin and they cause incoming management to do the same to us and it’s super unfair. The building is in a great location and I’ve met great friends here, but we all agree that there needs to be a hand up from someone and more opportunity given for these management companies coming in to provide more assistance to residents and the space we live.

i love living here, I see a lot of angry people and things in these reviews but I aint never had anything but good encounters with this new crew. as someone who has lived in many apts for 20 years now, there is fr not much no one can do bout emergencies or packages cmon now. this team has handled what they were given and are trying to figure it out, when i had an issue with my dishwasher it was fixed within a day, called them office, spoke kindly with the woman on the phone and it was fixed, other day i had called bout my sink and it got fixed. i think they got some good crew in here now compared to before so thank you

When I first signed my lease last year B Street was well maintained & a habitual place to live. However over the course of the last 6+ months things have drastically declined under new management. Several water leaks have occurred throughout the building and rather than being proactive to fix the water heaters where this issue is deriving from, management has informed maintenance to complete a patch job. Resulting in continuous water leaks and most recently a neighbors water heater exploded, flooding her apartment. Management never even stopped by to check the status of her apt as they are not on site. Meanwhile us neighbors worked tirelessly to assist her to remove the water flooding through her apartment. Since moving here the elevator breaks frequently and I’ve had several packages stolen due to the lack of mail security. Truly the only good thing about this building is the SINGULAR maintenance man (5 stars to him) who works tirelessly to resolve issues while also having to work at other properties. I do not recommend living here while FourStar Reality is managing this building.

I’ve really noticed a positive change at B Street LoHi lately! The manager has clearly started turning things around — you can feel the difference in how everything runs. They’ve become much more proactive, responsive, and invested in making the building a great place to live. It’s great to see improvements happening and to know management truly cares about the community. Keep up the great work!
