Cons:
-Garage is dangerous. There are no mirrors to see around corners when turning. People speed through the garage and have no regard for others. There were also reports of multiple break ins. People would leave the bottom gate open to come in and out allowing anyone to come in and the door did not have an auto close feature.
-Units are cheaply made. We moved in right after construction was completed and the paint was very sloppily done. Corners showed signs of wear and the building has shifted making opening drawers in the kitchen hard as they come off the tracks.
-Walls/ ceilings are very thin. Can hear very easily what is going on above or below you. Mentioned a noisy neighbor and nothing seemed to have been done. Electrical wiring seems faulty. Our dishwasher and AC unit both stopped working in our time there and took some time to get them working again.
-Move out fees. Try not to mount anything on walls, as they will charge you for paint. We had three tvs mounted on the walls and we are getting hit with $350 worth of charges just for paint. This is pending review so will update if changes, but do not expect to get any deposit back and you will have to pay hundreds of dollars to move out. EDIT: We spoke with the property and they were able to bring the paint charges down to a reasonable amount.
-Rent. Pretty high for a small 2 bedroom apartment. Our new place is cheaper and we have 3 bedrooms and our Own garage.
Pros:
-Front office staff/maintenance crew are pretty nice. We had 3 different property management firms in our 1 year span of living here. The front office staff and maintenance team are pretty nice and get maintainer requests done fairly quickly.
-Community events. The office has monthly events for free food and drink. While we didn’t go to many, it was a nice option.
-Location. Right by 36 and flatirons mall. Good access to different fast food and the Mall.

So far so great! I just moved into the Lock at Flatirons and am enjoying my place. I moved to Boulder from out of state so I searched for places remotely. The Lock had the best reviews so I was most interested in seeing exactly what they had to offer. Miriam was very lovely to work with, she understood I couldn’t come in to tour units so she personally walked the units and sent me videos in real time. I really appreciated her giving me options on the floor plans to choose from. Once I was clear I wanted to move to the Lock she guided me through the application process and went over all the specials and incentives the Lock could offer. I was approved same day and the paperwork and move in were easy and seamless. Upon move in day, everything was ready and waiting for me and they add such a sweet touch in your unit by congratulating you and leaving you with some gifts. The building is CLEAN, always smells good and you would never know there are dogs that live in the building lol. So glad I went with the best option out there in my opinion. Thank you again Miriam for making this experience so easy!

My family and I recently moved to the area and had an amazing experience working with Logan. He was extremely helpful and kind throughout the leasing process. The entire staff has been friendly as well. We are very happy with our new apartment and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to move to the area.
