I have lived here for about 2 years now since they took it over and I have to say I have never been happier here than I have in the last few weeks. Parcel pending has made my life so much easier, even though some Amazon flex drivers don’t use them when I order fast delivery . Before all we had was a closet for our packages but now I finally am confident enough to get delivery here. The recent resident events and communication have made me feel like I am paying the right amount for where I live. Sharonda, Sadie and the community manager Mike are always quick to help and so nice. The maintenance team, Russel I think his name was and the other ones are so nice and handle things in a timely manner. I wouldn’t have recommended this place before, but this management seems to really care about us as residents and I am so happy I renewed my lease this year. Highly recommended if you are looking for a team who cares.

Russ Vigil is an outstanding professional who truly takes pride in his work. He helped me track down a leak, replace some receptacles, and paint touch-ups. He’s knowledgeable, experienced, and always brings a great attitude. His work ethic and attention to detail make him a huge asset—highly recommend!

I truly appreciate the Dream Team Maintenance Crew at the Hayes. RJ, Russell, and Tony have always made your the places is clean and enjoyable place to live. While also anytime I have had an issue rather it be a simple light need changing or filter needing replacing they have also been very helpful to complete it. Thanks for all the Maintenance Dream Team does to keep the community together. Thanks Guys

Disgusting and disappointing don’t even scratch the surface. One star even feels too generous. My fiancé and I lived here for a year and a half and overall had a bad experience. Obviously everything is relative to your perspective and expectations, but I wanted to share our authentic experience. We moved in while this property was still Alexan at Westerly Creek back in October of 2024, that team was fantastic and responsive but then it got bought out and turned into The Hayes. When they took over there was an obvious decline in several areas and it ended in disappointment from all angles. Our unit faced the pool which on initial move in I thought would really nice, but we quickly realized it was anything but. Not only would people let their kids go to the pool unattended resulting in an exorbitant amount of noise, but I am also led to believe that they were not teaching them to get out when they needed to go to the bathroom. On several occasions the hot tub would be so cloudy you could not see to the bottom and various trash or random items would be left in the pool. Groups of adults would go sit in the hot tub, drink, play loud music, and have yelling volume conversations until well past the time the pool was open, many times on week nights which was taken seriously by the “courtesy patrol” for only about two weeks. Moving on to the trash situation because if you move here you will see a lot of that everywhere. The parking lot, entry ways, stair wells, internal hallways, and trash rooms will all always have trash laying around to some degree and the lack of trash cans throughout the community makes people even less responsible for throwing anything away. There have been at least 5 times over the course of us living here that the trash room itself was so full of trash, furniture, and other items that you could not make it to the shoots to throw a bag away. Not that it mattered because those would also be backed up due to the dumpsters being far too small for the amount of people living in these buildings. Outside of the looming presence of trash everywhere the odor in the hallways is enough to make you cough. Many people would leave bags out in the hallway all day despite the leasing office reminding them to only have trash out when the pick up would be coming by, resulting in the internal poorly ventilated hallways smelling like rotten food and dirty diapers. Don’t worry though you won’t be allowed to have any mats or decorations on your doors because that impacts the “aesthetics” of the apartment building. Moving to the outside of the building, you will immediately be greeted with the smell of dog urine and feces due to the majority of pet owners not picking up after their dogs with seemingly no consequences. I would like to believe if they kept the waste bags stocked that would change, but unfortunately I don’t think it will. I am also under the impression that safety is not number one here as we had several instances of people trying to get into our apartment (multiple times in the middle of the night) one of which the leasing office advise we should fill out a police report, which would have resulted in nothing happening because there was no actual entry from the person trying to get into our apartment. People also tend to leave exterior doors propped open with rocks. The doors in several buildings have been broken multiple times over our time there and reckless tenant have caused door glass to break four separate times on four separate doors. There is a reason there were 40+ empty units right before we moved and also the “new” property manager Michael who keeps responding to bad reviews has been here since August of 2025. Though these apartments may seem affordable it comes at the expense of careless tenants, a dirty property, and an overall disappointing living experience.

The management of this complex is amazing. Whatever things come up, they take the extra steps to be extra communicative and expedite their tenants needs to be resolved. Sadie, who works at the very front desk is such a considerate and hard working advocate for the company, kindly greeting me when I pass the front desk and a intricate part of coordinating things with upper management, maintenance and even mail orchestrating to ensure I have a safe and comfortable home. I feel at peace knowing her and the entire management staff have my back and add to the warmth of a place I call home. I am proud to show my mom is home. :) Also HOLY AMENITIES! This place has been an incredible place to live as I finished school and started my career in the medical field- from the office spaces for study and zoom to the huge, impressive gym to relaxing in the pool!
