The maintenance crew was very professional and polite! They came to fix my bathtub plate, however when we ran the bathwater that evening water started to leak from the second floor into the water heater closet from the pipes inside the bathtub plate. My issue is with the overnight crew not the daytime crew. I called emergency maintenance but it went straight to voice mail. I left a message to report the leak and flood, however it's been 12hrs later and I still have not heard from maintenance. Please help!

No feedback on what was done. No acknowledgement that you even entered the premises.

The maintenance guy came and fixed the master bedroom bathroom faucet. He replaced the nozzle on it as it had broken off. I have not seen it leak but will keep monitoring it. Thank you guys.

Unlawful Entry During Active Lease and Destruction of Personal Property This incident occurred while we were in the middle of moving, not after our lease ended. We had already rented our new home and moved some furniture, but several personal belongings and household items were intentionally left in the unit. Importantly, we still had 10 days remaining on our lease, and rent was fully paid. We were paying rent for two apartments at the same time so we could move gradually, return to the unit, and complete packing and cleaning properly. The purpose of paying double rent for those 10 days was to have the ability to come and go and finish our move peacefully and with care. Despite this, during our active lease term, Portofino Townhomes entered our apartment without notice or consent, as if the unit had been abandoned. Our belongings were disturbed, damaged, removed, and placed into trash bags. This was shocking and completely unacceptable. Among the items mishandled and discarded were personal and culturally significant belongings, including food prepared by a close family member undergoing aggressive cancer treatment. These items had deep sentimental value and were treated as garbage. The emotional distress caused by this conduct was severe. California law strictly limits when a landlord may enter a rental unit. None of those conditions were met here. Entering a tenant’s home without permission and disposing of their property while the lease is still valid and paid reflects a serious disregard for tenant rights, privacy, and basic human dignity. We trusted that, because our lease was still in effect, we could return and complete our move respectfully. That trust was violated. No tenant should experience unauthorized entry or loss of property during an active lease. Prospective tenants should proceed with extreme caution. This experience demonstrates a troubling lack of respect for California tenant protections and for the people who live here.
