I had the most interested experience while trying to rent here. 5 days of my life and 16 hours of my time wasted with no apartment.
#1: I scheduled an appointment and went there to see a 1 bedroom. I walked into the leasing office and the person there ignored me … no acknowledgment at all until 20 min later. She was talking to someone but she didn’t even look up or even wave. Finally when my turn came I told her I was looking for a 1 bedroom preferably with more hardwood floor and less carpeting and she said all of her units have carpeting everywhere and none have washer and dryer or AC so she has nothing to show me so I left without seeing anything.
2: Fast forward to the following day. I decided I’d do a 2 bedroom instead of a 1 since she said those had hard wood flooring. I went in and the office was closed. It said will return by 3:30, and it was 1, so i decided to wait since it was a 1.5 hour drive to get there but by 4 no one had returned. I went home and left a voicemail.
3: I scheduled an appointment and went the following day thinking I don’t want to make the drive if no one is there so I’ll be sure to make an appointment. Went, same sign up was up and I still waited an hour outside but no one ever showed up. Went home left another voicemail.
4: By now 4 days had passed since I went because thanksgiving came in between. This time I made another appointment and went back again. Thank god this time someone was there but she didn’t have keys to the place. She was from corporate office was just filling in so she could collect decembers rent since it was the 1st of the month. Not her fault. I left once again without seeing anything.
5: December 2nd. This time I made an appointment and went back again. There was a kind lady there from Georgia filling in who actually took time to help me. She showed me a bunch of units and saw one unit that was being rented that had everything I was looking for. She spent a good hour with me and answered everything she could. I decided on the apartment I was going to apply for and went to apply to find out the place was already rented. This is not her fault as it was showing available online. She is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars.
This was days of my life wasted. Thank god I didn’t sign there imagine how the leasing staff would respond to emergencies if they are never there.
Don’t stay here. It’s not worth the money or the issues. Specifically the poor communication. The previous and current management companies are terrible at communicating to the residents. The community installed app-controlled gate openers, which is nice. But, 2/3 gates haven’t worked via the app for the last 10+ days. I had to walk in 4 days after they stopped working to tell them, and then they finally let the community know another 4 days after me telling them that “you may have noticed the gates don’t work…” Yes we noticed because I can come in. Then, work was supposedly going to happen the next day. Nothing happened. No fix, no message. I go into the office and every time I’m met with excuses. “I don’t have access to the email” she says, so she can’t respond to my email or let the community know. That was the same message 4 days ago. You can’t get access to the email of the property you manage in 4 days? She said the vendor didn’t show up and they can’t contact them. Ok, so let us know! I understand vendor issues and companies flaking. My problem is the lack of any care from the office. This is just one issue. Their poor communication happens for upcoming maintenance work as well. I’m not talking about emergency work (I understand stuff breaks, so I know communication is tough in these situations). I mean any maintenance. Good luck getting more than 24 hours if your water or power needs to be shut off.
I’m not asking for issues to get resolved in a day. That would be too much ask for from these folks. I’m just asking for a simple one line email that says here’s what happened and here’s the next steps. People understand things not working out. But not telling people you charge enormous rent to anything is terrible and lazy. The folks in the office barely look up from their computers to talk to you. They pass you to the next person as soon as possible. They never have a concrete answer to anything. It’s just excuses.
The only regular email they somehow are capable of sending are parking permit reminders which is just so they can cover themselves when we get towed. All this for the reasonable price of $3,000 month. I’m not asking for a miracle. Just keep us informed with emails that would take 2 minutes to write. But they don’t care.
Worst experience looking to staying here! Was looking forward to living next to my family but day 0, my fam member passed away and first thing in the morning 2 of ours cars are gone, went to the office and the EXTREMELY rude manager on duty instead of being compassionate about us having to bury our fam member the same day rudely told us it’s not his concern and gave me the number of tow company where I ended up paying over $900 dollar an hour before a funeral to an equally rude man who threatened my safety. I HUMBLY requested anyone and everyone looking at the reviews before renting/buying a place here, DONT! Cause You’ll regret it especially god forbid if and when you need help from their management.
P.S. I would give a million negative stars if that was an option.

The manager here is the worst part of living at Sofi. Rude, unprofessional, and straight up aggressive. When I went to ask for help about an issue, instead of listening or solving the problem, he started yelling at me. No respect at all for tenants, The way he treats residents is completely unacceptable — the attitude alone makes this place not worth it.

I’ve had one of the worst experiences living here. The manager is extremely rude and unprofessional. When my car was towed from my own assigned parking spot (yes, the one that is specifically designated for me), I went to the office to ask for help. Instead of assisting or even listening, the manager immediately became aggressive and started yelling at me.As a resident, I expect basic respect and support when issues come up, but the way I was treated was unacceptable. Having my car towed from my personal parking space was already frustrating, but being yelled at on top of that shows a complete lack of professionalism and care for residents.I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you want management that respects and supports its tenants.
