  Jake Tolman represented us as our buyer’s agent in the purchase of a new construction home in Southern California after our family relocated from the Midwest. We are seasoned home buyers, having bought and sold 34 properties over the past 38 years, including 20 years as landlords of eight properties. With that level of experience, we do not offer praise lightly — and Jake is, quite frankly, the best buyer’s agent we have worked with. We specifically wanted someone local who understood the nuances of buying in California and could guide us through the unique aspects of new construction and builder-driven processes. I first met Jake at an open house in Temecula. Although that particular floor plan did not meet our needs — and after a discouraging experience with another agent — I was immediately impressed by Jake’s knowledge, professionalism, and thoughtful follow-up. One of Jake’s unique strengths is his background in the solar industry prior to becoming a licensed Realtor. Because solar was included in our new home and was unfamiliar territory for us, his expertise proved extremely valuable. He was able to explain, evaluate, and advocate in ways that gave us clarity and confidence. More importantly, Jake shows up. He answers his phone. He listens. He works diligently to help buyers navigate the increasingly complex, vertically integrated processes many builders use today. During our purchase, my work schedule shifted significantly, and our family experienced both a death and the loss of a beloved pet. It was a demanding season. Throughout it all, Jake remained steady, accessible, and solution-oriented. As we approached closing, when the builder’s selected team failed to provide a required coverage protection letter, Jake stepped in immediately and secured the proper documentation, complete with authorized signatures, within hours. That moment alone could have derailed the closing — and it did not, because he took ownership and resolved it. He attended every meeting we had with the builder and participated in multiple calls with the builder’s team to keep the process moving. Candidly, without Jake’s steady guidance and perspective — especially near the finish line — we likely would have walked away from the home due not to the home, but the frustration with the builder's "our way or the highway"....mindset. What buyers truly need is someone knowledgeable, available, and capable of moving the process forward when it stalls. Jake embodies that. If he works this hard for buyers, I can only imagine the level of advocacy he provides sellers. We have already referred him to a relocating physician and a young couple preparing to start a family — and will continue to do so with confidence. Jake earned this review. — Allen S
