Hey, this might not be like every review but I promise I won't disappoint. I have lived there for 8 years, which was a huge part of my childhood. The amazing experiences and happiness I had were all thanks to this one of a kind apartment. The homes are pretty spacious if you get a large ceiling and the gardens and greenery are really well taken care of. The entire atmosphere of the apartments is wonderful. Especially in the summer, where they host the funnest parties for all the residents. The mantinence crew is so friendly and the manager, Michael, is amazing. Overall. If you have kids [5-12 year old] this is the best choice in the neighborhood. ☺️✨️👍
Amazing location and one awesome manager in Michael. He was very helpful with everything from move in to move out and everything in between. A few things to note regarding living here, building 6 is right across the street from De Anza park and often will have noise. Reserved parking can be randomly taken by other tenants that are unaware these are reserved spots, although Michael did mention this will change in the future. Overall, I would still recommend these apartments!

My honest view of living at Parkwood:
Apartment space/size: I had a 1bd/1ba with good space and ample storage. Nice sized closets, but not a lot of bathroom counter space/storage. Dishwasher kinda sucks to be honest. Better off hand washing your dishes. 4/5
Apartment grounds/maintenance: plants and grounds impeccably maintained. Any maintenance issue was also responded to and fixed very quickly. 5/5
Mail: The apartments are very strangely labeled. When I first moved in I was told they would change this and 2 years later never did. The amount of mail I had stolen or delivered in correctly is more I could count on 2 hands. I was always blamed by Michael for this even though I had registered for their mail delivery room service. Michael wouldn’t take responsibility and seemed to not understand their archaic way of having their apartments labeled was the main issues 1/5
Management: Michael is probably one of the worst property managers I’ve ever encountered. 0/5
Neighbors: Think you’ll have a nice, peaceful, quiet apartment? Think again! With a courtyard run by ill behaved children that are unsupervised by their parents to the huge park on the other side-most days my background noise is screaming children. When I complain about kids in courtyard who scream, yell, break rocks, etc to the point where no one else can enjoy the beautifully maintained courtyard or pool I was told that there is nothing can be done by California law. Also if you are a downstairs apartment-they are putting hardwood flooring upstairs so you can listen to your upstairs neighbor stomp around all day and all night! I stopped getting a full night’s sleep about a year in and was told I needed to record this to have proof. Michael never did anything about it or if he did-nothing ever changed. 0/5

Apartment is small, expensive, has termites, rats in the wall, and silverfish. Furthermore, the complex lies between 2 parks, both of which tend to fill with children during the weekend, making the place not as quiet as advertised. Management is nice personally, but entirely incompetent and ineffective. As of a month ago we started putting in numerous work order forms, and called several times to get our slightly broken doorknob fixed. The problem has still not been resolved. Save your money and time. Don't bother renting here.
