When I first moved into Parkside I left a 5-star review during the leasing process because everything seemed fine and I was told management would be there if issues came up. Unfortunately that has not been my experience after living here. The leasing process was smooth and the office staff are polite, but after moving in there has been a serious and ongoing noise problem from upstairs units.
This is not occasional apartment noise — it is constant heavy running, jumping, and repeated door slamming throughout the day and late into the night. The floors and walls carry every impact so loudly it often sounds like a circus overhead, making it difficult to sleep, work, or relax inside my own home.
I have reported the issue multiple times and have also contacted security because of how severe it is. Other downstairs residents have expressed similar concerns, so this does not appear to be isolated.
This is also not just a “quiet hours” issue. The problem is that there seem to be no expectations communicated about heavy impact noise at any time of day. The only posted community rules I have seen involve smoking and feeding stray cats, but nothing addressing consideration for downstairs neighbors. Clear guidance and enforcement regarding excessive running, jumping, and slamming would make a major difference.
Additionally, maintenance uses a leaf blower every other morning for extended periods, which adds to the constant noise environment.
Lastly, there has been weekly mailbox break ins.
For the cost of rent, residents should be able to reasonably enjoy their apartments. I hope management addresses this so the community can be comfortable for everyone.
