  Pros -great location, close to Trader Joe’s, restaurants, beach, redwoods -very well built. Many of the tall boring apartments around downtown that I toured are built poorly. Paint everywhere, bad drywall, cheaply constructed. Nanda is much better -trash chute is convenient -is nice to have Amazon lockers when they work -Mike the repair guy is great -the game room is nice but I didn’t really use it. The pool table didn’t have a rack for the balls though -balconies are spacious -the building is kept really clean. People come at least twice a week. Some of the residents do make a mess though -it’s nice that management is on sight but they are unreliable -the place feels secure and a security guard comes though every so often Cons -expensive but so is everything is SC -they take forever to solve problems. The back door was broken for over a month and they kept telling us someone would come out to fix it but no one ever came. They didn’t give any concessions for the month it took them just to get the door to open. Once they fixed it, the front door wasn’t working for a few weeks. The management has physical keys so they didn’t care because it didn’t affect them. Residents pay too much to not have access to their own apartments. -no pool even though the stock photos they used had a pool -No parking for moving truck. It’s almost impossible to find a spot to unload unless you start really early in the day. They didn’t have the foresight to include a loading area or anything. The garage has 8 foot clearance so Uhauls won’t fit. -the management is terrible. They never respond to emails and when you talk to them in person they don’t know anything. One of them gave me a random number for how much the cleaning fee would be that was ridiculously wrong and didn’t bother to look it up. -parking is crazy expensive $150 for a month. You can park in Locust street for $75 a month if you live downtown -apartments don’t really get any sunlight -the elevators break down sometimes. I’ve seen people trapped in them several times -the management never knows what is going on and wait for a problem to happen before trying to fix it. They took out extra money for rent twice and only fixed it days afterwards (and the extra was $2,000 dollars so it’s not just spare change). They eventually fixed it but before the problem happened they assured us that the prorated amount would be taken out for the last month not the full rent. -trying to schedule a final walkthrough was a hassle since they are never in the office when they say the will be. Overall I think if I didn’t know where to stay before moving to Santa Cruz Nanda is fine but expensive. It’s not great but everywhere around here has problems. I often wish I would have moved to Anton since they have better amenities but the price is high too there, their construction is less professional, and it has a ton of college kids so it probably feels like a dorm. If bands had better management, took more responsibility and stabilized their rent it would be a great place.

  Ella is such a wonderful person to work with. She answered all questions clearly, and was super helpful when my garage FOB didn't work. She is also very approachable and is dedicated to doing right by the tenants. (:

  After living on Nanda on Pacific for nine months, my feelings are mixed. On the one hand, the apartment is beautiful and in a great location. However, we’ve had many hurdles with management. Most recently, being stuck in one the elevators for over two hours. The management was not very receptive to my inconveniences which is frustrating considering the hefty expenses of living at this complex. Be prepared to hand over an arm and a leg before you move in to this place.

  This is a 5-star review purely based on the management team's quality of correspondence and willingness to help me find a new place to call home. From the first phone call I made and throughout the entire process, Suzy was amazing in connecting with me on a personal level and in explaining everything so thoroughly. She was very prompt in her responses and always attentive to my needs. She and Armando are both very helpful and dedicated to creating a very honest, personable experience for its applicants and residents. Highly recommend if you want a top-notch management team who you can also call your friends!
