I usually don’t give reviews, but this one, I had too. I contacted the Seville apartments beginning 01/30/2019. Upon initial contact, the leasing agent was very welcoming, friendly, and informative. She told me there were 2 two bedroom units available. She explained the process of how to go about applying for the apartment, and further Information I needed. I told her I would be following up with her in a few days and staying in contact just in case I needed assistance and to ensure the rental unit was still available. I contacted the leasing manager 02/01/2019, 02/05/2019, 02/07/2019, and again 02/08/19, and each time was told the unit was still Available. I was told to come into the office 02/11/2019 when I had the documents I needed. I came into the office and there was a leasing agent named Sylvia there. I greeted Sylvia and informed her I was coming to tour a two bedroom and possible apply. She said that was fine. I explained to her what type of program I would be going through and she immediately told me there were no vacancies. She told me someone came and paid the deposit on the unit that morning. She said the apartments were first come first serve. I was very confused as to how she went from getting ready to show me the unit to then telling me the unit was unavailable. I then explained I drove pretty far, and was guaranteed a viewing and the opportunity to apply. She then said she would call the customer who came in to pay their deposit to ensure they would be going forward with the rental, as they were already 5 days in and she had not heard from them. 🤥. Clearly she was lying. She went from someone put the down payment down that morning, to the person not being sure. She then pretended to call someone, allegedly the prospective tenant. Weird! She then went on to say she would have an upcoming unit in April. I said I would consider if I hadn’t found something by then, and requested a paper copy of the application. She told me she was NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE PAPER COPIES and she had made a mistake, and the unit would not be available until late May. I then left the premises because I could see she was clearly lying, and being biased and discriminatory. I went home to check RentCafe who processes their applications and it said they had 2 units available as the leasing agent I initially spoke with said. I went home, went online and filled out the application just because. When I went online it said the same two units were Available. 🤥.. I then called Sylvia the next morning to see if she had seen my online application she said no. I knew she was lying. She then said someone came in after me to complete the application for the upcoming unit in May and she was considering them. The same application she said she couldn’t give out. The same person that said the units were first come first serve. Wasn’t I first? 🤨At that moment I decided not to rent there. This was 02/12/19. Today 02/18/19 I’m minding my business and Sylvia calls me and tells me there are no units coming up, and that she was going to delete my application. Why would you delete an application I paid for when it would soon expire? The same application you said you never seen? Really weird. So today just because she called me, I checked the availability of the apartments and seen the same two are still available. 👀. And this is through their website. So I took the liberty of posting the photos and this comment, because the company she works for should never discriminate against anyone.
