If I could give 0 stars, I 100% would. The management and security at these living spaces is very unstructured and super unorganized. I have been a tenant for 3 years and I am grateful for a roof over my head but my cars have been broken into 3 times, I thought I was on a waitlist for a 2nd parking spot the past 3 years and apparently everything gets swept under the rug once a new property manager comes in(often). I would never recommend these apartments to anyone, I would exhaust each and every option before reaching out to the Monterey Apartments. I saw the reviews and brushed them over my head but I will leave a picture proof of the break-in and there has been little to no changes done to the security of this place. Expect only 1 gate card for an entire unit as well, place is so stingy and unorganized. Can’t forget the random break-ins to apartments at 5am on the first floor either!

We were charged 1700$ as a move out fee for this apartment in the name of carpet replacement, paint, repairs etc. The management does not answer our phone calls to inquire about the fees. You won’t be getting any deposits back. They will give you just 15 days deadline to pay the penalty.
My suggestion is to avoid this apartment.

We stayed here for 5 months and they charged us a $3,800 fee 3 months after we had moved out. their move-in deposit fee is of $250. Why so cheap? Because they will hit you with a $3,600 deposit fee once you move out. They will completely remodel the apartment and charge you for it. We hd a Horrible experience staying here. I saw rats running around the dumpsters multiple times at night. The management team is bad, they will blame you for anything and everything then take forever to fix things. Their laundry was not working half of the time I was staying there

Lived there for three years. The management sucks. The plumbing in all the buildings is always getting fixed so your water is turned off at least one or two times a week. There has been a lot of car break ins even tho its a gated community. The apartments are old, they were built in 1958. The walls are paper thin so you can hear your next door neighbor talk or walk. The rent isn't worth what you get. Find some place else to live unless you really need a place to live until you can find someplace different.
