  I applied for an apartment at this property and left a $250 holding deposit based on the staff’s assurance that our application would be submitted within a certain timeframe. After that, communication completely stopped. I sent two follow-up emails over three weeks with no response. My partner called multiple times and was told someone would get back to us — no one ever did. When my partner finally showed up in person, we were told our application had been denied due to new ownership — something we were never informed of. To make matters worse, we were falsely told that we agreed to apply on July 30, which is completely untrue since we came in mid-June for a reason. Now they’re refusing to refund the deposit, despite the fact that we were denied due to internal changes on their end and were never notified. Under California law, a landlord cannot keep a deposit in this kind of situation. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and a complete waste of time. I would strongly caution anyone considering this property — the management is disorganized, unresponsive, and not transparent. Do not trust them with your time or money.
