  I used to live in these apartments from 5th grade to senior year of high school with my parents. Wanted a better area for my child to grow up in so my husband & i moved here with our child. From the literate day we moved in until now it’s been nothing but issues. Let’s start from the leasing experience. We were denied being able to see our unit prior to move in. The day prior to move in was the only day they allowed but we weren’t available despite trying multiple offers, days, and times. All we wanted was to get measurements and to see the place. Since I lived here prior, my husband trusted my opinion and I felt confident about living here again. I was wrong. The day of move in, we see the apartment for the first time and immediately was dumbfounded. 1. Deep scratches on the stove 2. gap in the front door 3. broken porch light 4. broken sliding screen door 5. improper tub refinishing 6. harsh chemical smell from tub refinishing 7. yellow stains on the hallway bathroom ceiling 8. black stains in the master toilet 9. gross hallway shower 10. wet carpet that we had to go over about 6 different times with a vacuum because of how dusty it was. how it is a good idea to steam a carpet without vacuuming. just a bunch of wet dust which is detrimental to our health if mold were to accumulate. we got some items fixed and we hired someone to clean but the tub refinishing is a huge task since we have a young child that can’t handle harsh chemical smells and cannot stay up for the required 5 hours needed to be out of the house. overall, whoever said this apartment was move in ready needs to be fired. the place was gross. there’s also multiple holes in the corner of the ceiling that i believe spiders come from. other one off issues we’ve noticed: - the ladies in the office, mainly adreanne are so incredibly rude. she stated we didn’t have money (didn’t know she had access to our bank & investment accounts lol) to my husband when he went into the office as he was holding a cashiers check for rent LOL. - the pool and hot tub are gross with bugs and sticks. it is march so i get if they don’t have routine maintenance for the spring but it also was 90 degrees this week so maybe they should’ve scheduled one. - got upset because of a stroller that was outside due to the wheels needing cleaning. this apartment complex doesn’t had great side walks within the gates so we go on grass & mud with the stroller. i’m not dragging that through the house. - gate clicker doesn’t work so every single day we have to call my phone to unlock the gate - water heater broke down twice. once we were able to fix ourselves and the second maintenance was needed. it still has issues from time to time. we were left without hot water. to sum it up: would i recommend this place? no. honestly a lot of it could be easy fixes but at this point we feel like the ladies in the office are so rude & the management isn’t up to par with past apartment managers & our expectations so i couldn’t in good conscience tell someone to move in here and deal with this crap.

  Lived here while attending college. Great location in a quite community but easy access to downtown and the beach. As an avid golfer, I enjoyed the 6 or 7 courses within 10 minutes. Plus it's in the boundaries of city limits so I was able to play Torrey Pines at the resident rate (witch is the best deal I ever had). The staff was always friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed the fact the gym, grill, pool, and tennis courts were never busy. Always felt like our own amenities. The price was a tad high but for the peace and quiet that we enjoyed for three years of renting it was worth every penny.
