I just want to say that K1 apartments are amazing, I’ve been in these apartments for the last 4 months or so and I couldn’t be happier with the location, amenities and friendly staff from the manager to supporting maintenance teams. The views are absolutely amazing and the proximity to downtown can’t be beat.

UPDATED: I just got stuck in the elevator for 1h, fire department had to be called as elevator maintenance technician couldn’t even make it on time. It would have been ok if that was a first issue,it happens, but we’ve gotten over 10 notices in the past 6 months that elevators are broken or not functioning. When we tried to address the issue with management we were faced with complete denial saying it is “not even that bad”. The funniest piece is that while I was stuck I called the building management 7 times, and was sent straight to voice mail ( first call was at 12:01). I can tell I was sent to voice mail on purpose as it took different amount of “rings” before the VM message. Our lease is up soon and we can’t wait to leave. Some more things to consider HOMELESS are everywhere, multiple times I’ve seen open hard drug use (needles and all the good stuff) right at the gate of the property. I had to call a security company (building management was not picking up the phone) because the was a homeless man RIGHT ACROSS the pathway at the gate! Garage door is broken more often than not, and yes, homeless people get it in the building… before management responds - yes this review could have been avoided, if only we were treated with a dose of respect from management, not a legal linguo response. We have spent over 4 years in this building and we are so sad leave on such a downturn. Just when you think it can’t get any worse. First of all, if someone called me 7 times in the matter of 5 mins I would call them back…. It took 2 negative public reviews from me and my wife for a management to reach out to me, 6 hours later, literally saying we just saw your review… if a tenant in a building that I manage got in trouble I would the first one reaching out, immediately. Instead I got 2 emails trying to convince me that what happened is absolutely normal and should be expected. To make matters worse, we have shared very sensitive private information in our communications, instead of being a human, they have decided to share our personal information(thanks god not everything) in a public review. I said it before and I will say it again, all of this could have been avoided if we were treated with a just a little bit of respect and human decency. Instead we treated like we are dumb and hiding behind corporate linguo. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible.

UPDATE: I don’t normally leave reviews, but I feel like people should know what it’s actually like living here. Over the past six months, there’s been a major decline in the building’s maintenance—especially with the elevators. What used to be occasional issues (every few months) has turned into constant outages. We’ve received countless notices about elevators being down, waiting on parts, or delayed repairs. A few months ago, there was even a sign posted saying the elevator was “unstable,” which was already concerning. Recently, that concern became very real when my husband was stuck inside the elevator for over an hour while we waited for emergency services because the elevator company couldn’t respond in time. We live on the top floor, so reliable elevator access isn’t optional—it’s essential. Not knowing whether you’ll be able to get in or out of your home safely is incredibly stressful. Unfortunately, the issues don’t stop there. The garage gate is frequently broken, which creates both inconvenience and security concerns. On top of that, we’ve now lived in five different units in this building, and mold has been a recurring issue in more units than not. Overall, there seems to be a pattern of ongoing maintenance problems that aren’t being fully resolved. I would strongly encourage anyone considering moving here to take these issues into account. Also, I reached out to management about the sign and they are saying it’s a “false” notice, meaning either they put it up and if they didn’t, another tenant was so worried they put up their own “beware” sign! I’ve attached just a few of these photos for reference. REPLY TO K1s response: Correct, we decided to purchase a home and leave because of all of these ongoing issues instead of staying another year as we would have liked to, if management didn’t become so horrible to deal with. Regarding the mold: I have text communications with a staff member that said “never say the mold word around here, they won’t agree it’s mold” so we never thought there was a point in reaching out. Instead greystar would say it’s “moisture intrusion” or some other BS. and how is me purchasing a home going to fix your elevator issues? Honestly, this management is so terrible and unprofessional I would highly recommend any other building. Do your research and look up greystar reviews online. After speaking to countless lawyers they all say the same thing about greystar properties and their practices.

Honestly, our experience with this complex was very disappointing During our stay there were repeated problems. The trash chute often didn’t work, and the trash room regularly smelled bad with overflowing garbage and dirty, sticky floors. The parking gate is frequently left open or broken, which makes the garage feel unsafe. We also saw homeless individuals accessing the property and going through the trash. The most upsetting situation happened when our unit was flooded because of a sewer backup in the building (not caused by us). We lived with open walls and ongoing repairs for almost three weeks. For several days, very loud drying machines were running inside our apartment and using our electricity. Some of our personal care items were damaged. Management did offer a small concession, which we appreciate, but the situation took far too long to fix and caused a lot of stress and inconvenience. The only positive thing we can say is that the maintenance technician himself was professional and helpful when he came. In our opinion, this complex has noticeably declined recently. Future residents should think carefully before moving in and read the most recent reviews. Overall, our final experience here was frustrating and below what we expected
