  My application process was pleasant experience working with Heather Rule. She was my Application processors and even though she was the only one in office she was on top of Process with great communication and getting everything done. Just want to say thank you for the great experience.

  My family was very unhappy with our stay at these apartments. We relocated to Sacramento and were told that we could get a corner apartment with windows, we ended up in a middle unit with neighbors that argued/potential abuse. Although people were friendly for the most part, we had threats left in written form on our front door from possible neighbors. Strangers regularly came to our door to solicit, including homeless people asking for phone chargers and money. Strangers would regularly ask us to open the side access gates for them because they “forgot their keys”. What I find ironic is that the main gates where cars had access were regularly left open overnight. My boyfriend had his car vandalized and another time my mother’s car was broken into and nearly stolen. The landscapers left branches in front of/on my car multiple times and the car wash consisted of a ripped hose. People regularly left their cars parked in the wash so there were times I couldn’t access it. The hot tub in the “back” pool was broken the entire year we lived there and the office would let people get away with smoking in the pool areas even though there were posted signs saying “smoke free” zone. Walking our dogs consisted of regularly stepping in dog poo, and one time my dog was shot with a nerf gun by a neighboring child. I’m so relieved to not live here anymore and I suggest everyone to stay far away for their sanity.

  We went in a second time after the promotion of the 3 day look and lease simply to give the place another try and possibly sign, we were fine with not receiving the $500 promo as we are aware that the promo is to sign up within the 3 days of touring, however the lady who helped us stated on her own “if you apply today I’ll talk to my manager and try to get you that promo either way” we then ended up applying that same day after we left and called the office to speak to that same woman to let her know we had applied and to ask if she had asked about the promo, she stated that we have nothing to worry about and we would be fine to still get the promo. Now comes the time that we move in, I asked about the $500 and the same lady stated we should come in on Monday as that is when the managers are in and they have the gift cards, we then went in on Monday and she then said they have to submit it to corporate and that we would have to wait longer, we then waited a month and never heard back so we call the office which is when now the same lady stated that she does not remember telling us that she we can get this promo and that we do not qualify, I asked her if the lines are recorded and if management can call us back because we understand if we were out of timeframe but we don’t understand why she would lie just to get us to sign and she stated “the lines are recorded and I can leave a note for my manager to call back but honestly for this she probably won’t even call you back so you have to call back yourself” I then call back myself which is when I spoke to the supposed manager Ashley, I explained the situation to Ashley and she stated “well my employee said that she does not remember telling you that you can still qualify and she has worked for me for 2 years so how could I not believe her” i did not understand why she automatically went to such unprofessional behavior which is why I then brought up the fact that the lines are recorded as I had been told so that she can bring up the call directly and listen to the conversation, the manager then stated that the lines are recorded but somehow conveniently the phone number I called is not a recorded line. I was completely respectful with all employees and then told the manager so what am I supposed to do, she told me I can call the employee and argue with her which I found extremely unprofessional, if you are a manager why is your first instinct to accuse me of lying and why would you direct me to go argue with your employee? I honestly would have been fine if I was told that the employee made a mistake and received an apology, but instead I was called a liar and mistreated by employees and management all because they decided to lie to get me to sign a lease. I hope if corporate is in charge of reviews you can listen into the recorded lines and hear the interaction that was had by the unprofessional staff, accountability goes a long way and as adults that is all that would have been needed for a better review.

  Harbor Oaks staff and maintenance personnel absolutely rock. Been here 13 years and still going.
