I lived in this community for a year and it’s way too much they charge you for everything! And when I mean everything I mean everything!! The vallet trash if you leave it out for too long they send emails saying they will charge extra fee as well as doormats! It was a nice community at first but after all the fees adding up it just made me wanna move out of state! After I moved out I received my deposit back with no envelope! Just stamped as is and that is so outrageous! My deposit could have been stolen! Very disappointing.

I lived here for about 2 years, and unfortunately my experience went downhill over time. The previous management team was always kind, helpful, and actually cared about the residents, which made living here enjoyable. Since the new management took over, it’s been a completely different story. They are rude, unprofessional, and difficult to deal with. Any concerns or questions feel brushed off instead of being handled properly. On top of that, the rent has been raised, but nothing about the property reflects the so-called “luxury” they advertise. The quality, service, and overall experience do not match the price at all. It’s really disappointing to see how much things have changed. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I lived at this property for two years and chose to move out as soon as my lease ended. During my initial move-in, the management team was excellent - kind, responsive, patient, and helpful. Unfortunately, after staffing changes, the level of service declined significantly. Communication became slow, and interactions with management often felt dismissive and unprofessional, even condescending. I was also disappointed by a lack of transparency regarding maintenance policies. At one point, I was informed of a $25 charge per light fixture replacement - something that was never disclosed at move-in. When multiple fixtures began flickering after about a year, I requested that the wiring be inspected, as the issue appeared intermittent. However, I was told the only option was replacement at my expense. I ultimately did not proceed with the replacement, and the fixtures later began slowly working again on their own, suggesting the issue may have been electrical. This concern was never meaningfully addressed despite my request. Additionally, my security deposit disposition included questionable charges. I was billed $35 for a “traffic stain,” despite having photo documentation showing only normal wear consistent with two years of occupancy and no actual staining. The only document provided to support this charge was labeled as an estimate - not a final invoice or receipt - and even that estimate noted that no significant stains were observed. I was also charged a $2.95 rent-related fee for March, even though my lease ended in February, which was confusing and unexplained. The elevator in building 5 was always broken or getting stuck. Call box never really worked to let guests or deliveries in. Everything they did and say for maintenance, felt like a money grab. While the unit itself was generally satisfactory, it did not fully meet the standards typically associated with a “luxury” property. Overall, due to the decline in management quality, lack of transparency in charges, unresolved maintenance concerns, and more, I would not recommend this complex.

The apartment community itself is nice and I enjoyed living there for several years. Unfortunately, my experience with the management and accounting process after moving out was extremely frustrating. I lived at Alira Apartments for approximately 5½ years and moved out on December 8, 2025. Shortly after moving out, I received a notice stating that I owed more than $800 in utility charges. Utility billing for the property is handled through Conservice. After reviewing the statement that was sent to me, I noticed duplicate charges and contacted the billing provider directly. The billing error was eventually confirmed and the balance was corrected multiple times, ultimately being reduced to $214.11. Despite the billing discrepancy, the account was referred to collections less than 30 days after my move-out and based on the incorrect amount. I received a collections notice dated January 13. As of March 9, 2026, I am still working to ensure the account is properly documented and that no inaccurate credit reporting occurs. The accounting discrepancy was not identified through the property’s internal review. The issue was addressed only after I raised the concern and contacted the billing provider myself. In addition, my security deposit was applied toward what appeared to be routine turnover items after more than five years of tenancy, including standard cleaning, paint, and minor maintenance. Because of the billing discrepancies and the handling of the account, I have reported my experience to the Better Business Bureau, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Sacramento County District Attorney’s office for review. I am sharing this experience so that prospective residents carefully review their billing statements and move-out charges. My hope is that the issues surrounding this account are reviewed so other residents do not encounter the same situation.
