  What can I say, we hardly ever leave poor reviews and understand people are mostly trying to do their best. For Sunset Summit, this may not be the case, things look great until you start living here, and then it's down hill. We stayed here for a little under a year and it was huge mistake. When we first moved in, the water inlet valve on the washing machine was broken causing a constant drip. During the initial move-in inspection we noticed the dripping in the washing machine but was advised it's okay. Turns out it needed to be replaced due to previous experiences and I created a work order to do so. Constant drips in general on the second floor might be of concern for an apartment... Also, during our move-in inspection, we were advised that the countertops, being worn, were going to be replaced and it never was, with no follow up. We were also told that the dry rotted deck was going to be replaced but when we called and asked when we saw other decks being replaced, we were told that we were not on the list. Then during June and July, (2-3 months in) it took them 4 times to fix our AC. I advised them each time it was the condenser since the coils were freezing over but each time I was told it was low on Freon until the last visit. On the 4th visit, the only competent maintenance person we met there advised the condenser was caked in mud and was not cleaned for several years. All this time lead to a utility bill over $500 because of their neglegnce, and we were never compensated. Be warned, as others have stated you can't really run your AC very low, walls are thin, and there is a pest problem (check your dishwasher for cockroaches). The apartments won't be clean when you move in either, check the base boards or the top of your cupboards and you'll see. Please note, I also walked into the main office multiple times where the staff gossiped about tenants with the doors open. While having an open door policy is nice, this is extremely unprofessional and rude, making the environment toxic and uninviting. To top it off, they took all but $3.55 of our deposit. I would suggest avoiding this complex unless you need a tempory place to stay. Make sure you take photos of everything before you move in if you do for your own evidence.

  I’m disappointed with my experience living here. The pricing does not match what was communicated at the beginning, and management seems to change or interpret costs in a way that feels misleading. Residents are not given flexibility or fair options when it comes to transfers or moving within the property. Amenities are also not maintained at an acceptable level. The pool area often has no lounge chairs available. After using the jacuzzi, I experienced skin irritation, possibly due to excessive chemicals, which is concerning. The gym is frequently dirty and poorly maintained. The condition of the office restroom is also unacceptable — it feels unclean and uncomfortable to use or even touch surfaces. The only positive experience I’ve had is with the maintenance technician, Jesus. He is professional, helpful, and clearly cares about the residents. Thank you to him — he is the best part of this community. Overall, management needs to be more transparent, improve cleanliness, and take resident concerns seriously.

  I wish I never moved here, the staff isn't much help AT ALL & the walls are super thin. I can hear everything my upstairs neighbor does. The rent is probably cheap because you pay with your mental health.

  Office staff was not helpful and only cared about $. The place wasn't cleaned when we moved in. My car got vandalized twice and the only thing the apartments did was suggest I don't park on that side of the complex. Will NEVER live there again.
