I just moved in thanks to Gia’s help. She was so helpful explaining everything to me and very patient answering all my questions. She is a delight to talk to. She guided me to the apartment that is perfect for me.
Helping my 80 year old mom find an apartment was a daunting task. Gia, the assistant manager, made it so much more pleasant than expected. She was not only professional, but took the time to make sure that all my mom’s questions were answered, and really guided her through the process. If you are looking for a nice apartment in Poway, go see them.

I recently toured Haven Apartments while planning for a future move. Although they didn't have an apartment available for the timeframe I'm looking to move, Gia was absolutely wonderful. She kindly explained that that is was still a bit early for them to receive notices for that timeframe, and took her time walking me through the process and answering all of my questions. Gia was so sweet, patient and knowledgeable; she truly made me feel at ease. You can tell she genuinely cares about the community she manages and the people interested in living there. Because of her, Haven Apartments has officially moved to #1 on my list for when I am ready to rent. Thank you, Gia, for such a positive and reassuring experience!

We lived here for 13 months and moving out turned into a nightmare. They charged us for “painting the walls,” “carpet cleaning,” and “apartment cleaning.” I always kept the apartment clean, never wore shoes on the carpet, and the only tiny wear was by the door from my cat- nothing that justifies such a huge charge. Cleaning I could accept since it was in the contract, but paint and carpet after normal living is just unfair.
On top of that, every month I was forced to pay $25 for renter’s insurance that was never explained up front. The water billing was another scam. Before moving in, I asked how much utilities would be, but they didn’t give me a clear answer. Later I found out the water bill was split between all four units, so we were basically paying for other people’s usage too.
The only good thing was the maintenance guy — he was always polite and quick to help.
And don’t expect peace and quiet — the walls are paper-thin, you can hear everything the neighbors upstairs do.
