Viewing these apartments was perfectly fine. But let me tell you, looks can be deceiving. After my husband and I viewed the two story townhome we decided to go ahead and take it. Granted we could have looked a little better to all the details inside and out, but unfortunately we were on a tight schedule and needed to move here from SD within a week! Upon moving in, we noticed what seemed to be a bullet hole in a neighbors window for one(and after bringing it to the offices attention TWICE, we were told "well they haven't said anything to us about it yet") two, the cabinets hold barely anything! There is very little space for dishware let alone food storage, besides the refrigerator of course. Three, after about a month of moving in and still getting settled in, we noticed that in our downstairs bathroom under the sink that there was mold! (I was 7 going on 8 months pregnant at this time and we already have a toddler as well) so we brought it up to the office and about a month later after bringing it up they finally came to look at it, they took pictures and told us they had to send it to management and then we would be contacted within a week to be told what they were going to do...well another 2-3 weeks passed by and I started my labor, the day after my labor started the office finally called and said they could come that day to fix it, well considering I was I labor I was in no way shape or form ready to deal with any of that. Another week passed by due to me being in the hospital, and then that following week they finally came to "fix" the mold situation. Here's the kicker, THEY TRIED TO SPRAY PAINT OVER IT!! As soon as they pulled out that can of spray paint my husband told them to just get out. So here we are another month has passed and they still have not fixed the mold problem. I wish I could post the pictures I have for you all to see. The sink clearly has mold inside of the wood and most likely on the wall behind it, we also just recently noticed that they patched a rather large hole in the kitchen along the wall that just on the other side would be the bathroom, there is also a patched hole in the wall in the bathroom, can't help but wonder if they've ran into this problem before? So there's those problems... Just about every weekend we hear gunshots, have had some odd people in the alley way talking to themselves or singing, cars racing on pleasant valley Rd, our car has been broken into & we've only been here about 5 months! (not saying this is any of the managements fault but just goes to show the type of neighborhood it's in) something to keep in mind as well, the cop we reported our car being broken into told us that because there are no insane asylums anymore they have been released into the public and guess where some of them live?! Right across the street in the mobile homes! How lovely...Another thing that REALLY bothered us, while I was pregnant I was sleeping in my bed & my bed was right under our window and I woke up to a bunch of banging and clanking on my window on the second story, so I got freaked out looked out the window and right in my face was a man on a latter headed up to our roof, assuming they were just checking or even cleaning the roof, but regardless I was in my pajamas & our curtains were open enough for them to look in if they wanted! We didn't get a notice that there would be workers on the roof nor a phone call. The following week they were working on the other buildings roof across the way from us. Oh and! Last thing, we signed a contract stating the amount of our rent a month. The first month here was exactly that amount, the following month was raised about $100 and has been that way since...so with all that being said, I would highly recommend not renting from here. As soon as our lease is up we are out of here! Not to mention, the rent they ask for is absurd considering the area it is in! I wish I would have read some of the reviews on this place before we moved in, most of them weren't the greatest of reviews. Hope my review saves or helps someone!
