  Very poor management. Deborah Tedsen is the licensed individual who oversee’s this property. Unfortunately she fails to comply with her duties as outlined by The Department of Real Estate and California State Law. I strongly suggest if you are having issues past/present with this property you initiate a complaint with The California Department of Real Estate against her license (#01130132) as that is the only chance you may see action from management. We had to file a lawsuit because management never returned our security deposit, or itemization within 21 days as with many other tenants past/present. If you failed to receive your security deposit or an itemization with deductions from your security deposit within 21 days of move out I strongly suggest you speak with an attorney right away so you may file a lawsuit for treble damages and seek any other damages related to your tenancy. If you are actively still living here and are unable to get a response from management for issues such as no working heat (like we experienced,) you need to file a complaint with The California Department of Real Estate against Deborah Tedsen (#01130132.)

  Village at Madrone and team has been patient and kind with the process needed to get me into a unit. While we are still in the final steps they continue to maintain the up most professionalism and patience through my anxiety and often quick trigger to create a back up plan. Derrick, Diana and 2 other women in that office (can't remember your names) have been a GOD send I truly may have lost my mind and possibly unit if it was not for this team!

  Nice apartments but living area is very small… kitchen, dining and living room are one single space!

  Derrick is an amazing manager and person overall. He understood my situation and helped me through it. I love the apartments and I love the management they are all such great and helpful individuals. He got amazing staff that work with him, they have great eye contact and great attitude with a beautiful smile on their faces!!

  Do not rent here if 1. You want a property who is attentive to your needs 2. You want your rental deposit back timely. 3. You want your suggestions and complaints taken seriously. My elderly mother and father rented here for a year and were greatly disappointed. Kids are allowed to play in the parking lot with no supervision and after several complaints made, after seeing these kids jumping out while cars are driving through, throwing their balls and toys at vehicles and resident doors, nothing was ever done. They keep to themselves and don’t mind having neighbors as long as the rules are followed. They moved out a week before their lease ended and left the apartment immaculate. By law and per their contract they should have received their full deposit within 21 calendar days OR an itemized statement with any deductions along with the remaining balance. Here we are 40 days later after sending two urgent emails to the management, we still have no response. The leasing office said they could only provide an email and would not offer a phone number or resolution. We will be forced to contact a lawyer as the next steps. The building appears nice but if you want to avoid all the hassle and neglectful customer service please steer clear of this place! 4/16/2026. Follow up review! We have since had to contact the better business bureau. We had received a call and email from the complex admitting that they mailed the deposit check basically back to themselves since they could not locate a forwarding address. The forwarding address WAS given several times AND again to the corporate office and the rental office. Still no check and still no response. Do not rent here! My mom and dad live on a fixed income with their social security and are barely making it. This place holds no accountability and the BBB let us know that they did not receive a response back! This place is horrible!
