I had the pleasure of living at Oak Park Apartments from Feb 2024 to Feb 2025, and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. We lived in a corner unit on the third floor, a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment, and the layout was perfect for us. We had a large dog, and the complex is incredibly dog-friendly. Speaking of community, Oak Park really goes the extra mile in fostering a friendly and engaging environment. They hosted a few events during our time there, including a raffle and an outdoor movie night, which we really enjoyed. Throughout our lease, we worked with Denise and Mirna, both of whom were absolutely wonderful. Denise was the main person we worked with at the start, and she was always helpful and amazing. Mirna was equally fantastic—quick to respond to concerns, always friendly, and a pleasure to talk to. Both of them went above and beyond in terms of customer service, and it was clear that they truly care about the residents. We also had a great experience with Adrian on the maintenance team. He was incredibly fast and efficient whenever we had any maintenance requests, and he always had a positive, friendly attitude. The location was another huge plus. It’s just a block away from Old Town Monrovia, which is the heart of the town with so many great shops and restaurants. We loved being able to walk to our favorite spots, like Sena on Myrtle and The Peach Cafe. There’s also a Cup of Cha nearby for boba, and a Vons grocery store just a few blocks away—super convenient for everyday needs. The only reason we’re no longer residents is that we bought a house. Mirna did us a huge solid by terminating our lease renewal, which we had already signed not knowing we'd find a house shortly after. But we’d still be living there if we hadn’t made that move! The rent during our time there was around $2000 per month, including pet rent ($65), which felt fair for the area, especially considering the amenities. The complex is well-maintained, from the lobby and lounge areas to the outdoor spaces and even the gym. There’s also the option to rent out the lounge area for $50 for a whole day, which is a great option for events. In conclusion, Oak Park Apartments in Monrovia provided us with a fantastic living experience. The friendly staff, great amenities, and unbeatable location made it a place we truly enjoyed calling home. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful place to live in Monrovia!
