I have lived here for over a year, and this has been one of the worst apartment experiences I have had. For the amount tenants are charged, the condition The level of management of this property is unacceptable.
The building is poorly maintained. The dog park is consistently dirty, there are bugs and spider webs throughout the property, and the carpet smells bad and looks extremely worn down. There have also been multiple fires, the fire alarm goes off far too often, the water is frequently shut off, and the gate is regularly broken. There are also often homeless individuals around the building as soon as you step outside, which adds to the ongoing safety and comfort concerns.
One of the biggest issues is the billing. The building uses shared utility billing, and this was not properly disclosed to me before I signed the lease or moved in. As a result, residents can be barely home and still receive very high utility charges. In addition to rent, I have been charged a $25 trash reimbursement fee, a $52 trash charge, another $68 fee, and other extra charges that are often in the $50 range or higher. Because of these added costs, a base rent of $2,100 can quickly turn into $2,600 or even $3,000. That is completely unreasonable given the condition of the property and the lack of reliable services.
To make matters worse, I have been charged for trash service even though my trash has not been picked up as promised since I moved in. Paying these kinds of fees without receiving the actual service is frustrating and unfair.
The only staff member who has been consistently kind and helpful is Janie. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience with everyone in the office. Tyler has been rude, slow to respond, and unwilling to give direct answers to simple questions. Instead of resolving concerns clearly, communication often feels dismissive and unprofessional.
I would not recommend living here. The property is overpriced, poorly maintained, and badly managed. For what tenants are paying, the living conditions and service should be far better. Save your money and live somewhere that actually matches the price they charge.
