Ktown Chronicles

Out of all the apartments we lived in Koreatown, this one started off okay, but then got exponentially worse when the building was bought by concord properties last October and new management came in.
First off, there were car break-ins in the “secure garage” and several of the residents item have been stolen.
There has been only 1 working elevator for more than 6 months now, and still no updates for when it will be fixed.
The list of ongoing problems keeps going on and new problems arise every week.
Recently parking has gone up for no reason, and the residents are being squeezed out of every dollar that the management is legally allowed to.
Even the plants in the lobby are starting to die from lack of care!!
Ever since the new management, I would strongly not recommend The View Apartments in Koreatown. The biggest issue is the complete lack of professionalism from management. Communication is poor, concerns are brushed off, and follow-ups rarely happen unless you constantly push; even then concerns are still not addressed. The blame is either always pushed to previous management or yourself (tough luck answers). You can never find her. Like the other review said, what is the point of having a property management onsite or at all if they are never in the office or can hardly reach via email, which apparently is the only source of communication?
Security is another major problem. There have been break-ins, stolen cars, vandalized vehicles from break ins and management’s response has been slow and dismissive, offering little reassurance or meaningful action to keep residents safe. On top of that, security hours are cut to no longer being 24 hours. So where does the budget cut money goes? Michelle's pockets? LOL
To make things worse, the elevator has been broken since November. Months later, it’s still unresolved, which is unacceptable for a multi-story building. A 14 story building sharing one singular elevator is ridiculous. Management seems indifferent to how this affects tenants’ daily lives. Blaming it on the previous management is not professional, especially when it has been 3 months since 1 out 2 elevators broken isn't fixed.
Instead of fixing all these problems, there is a new vending machine in the lobby. There goes some of the security budget cuts. Not to even mention, BBQ grill is broken, pool isn't cleaned regularly.
Between the safety concerns, long-term maintenance failures, and unprofessional management, this building does not justify the rent or the stress. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Previous management, Janey and Kaay were the best. Michelle is useless.
This place is in serious need of manager replacement. What is Michelles role here Concord? What is her job description? Just sit around answer emails and play with her dog? She’s very useless here, you can pick up anybody off the street and they’ll be more useful than her I’m sure. Concord doesn’t seem to care about the residents at the view, no wonder the team here treats residents like crap.
any review giving this place 5 stars in 2026 is a fake review, i assure you no one living in this building is happy after new management took over. one elevator works for the hundreds of people who live in this building, imagine waiting 20 minutes for the elevator to go pick up food downstairs.
I have lived in this building for two years and had a very positive experience under the previous management, who were honestly amazing and made this place feel more like a community. Since Concord took over and Michelle became the property manager, the quality of management has plummeted.
Michelle is never available, the office is rarely open (sometimes she will be hiding in there with all curtains closed but will ignore any attempts to communicate with her), emails often go unanswered, and many of my neighbors have said similar issues have effected them as well. She also has said she does not have a direct phone line. Email communication that only gets answered if she feels like it, is not a productive way to manage a property, if that is the case why do we even have a property manager on site?
One of the elevators has been out of service since November, with no clear updates provided to residents. She sent one email about a month after it was broken but majority of us still have no clue what is going on with it, as techs have randomly come out and "done work" but even the emails she does send are ambiguous and don't really have any clarity to them. Things like "work is starting" or "working is happening" but no clear follow up on where things stand or if there is any update on when it will be fixed.
Security staff who have been here for years are no longer here, and despite sending an email saying no changes to security have occurred the staff are gone, the hours are reduced (where is the security that was always here from 5-8am?) and even worse is that since these changes, there have been multiple break-ins, package thefts and vehicle thefts, which were not previously an issue. Removing well known security with new security puts both the residents and the security at a disadvantage to prevent thefts from happening.
There have also been instances of vendors or technicians (honestly not even sure) arriving at my unit without prior notice or an active maintenance request, which is concerning and frankly flat out illegal.
I honestly can't decipher if the issue is Concord or Michelle, I have heard her discussing with other staff about putting notices on tenants doors for evictions and laughing about them being poor, many residents have mentioned that she has said derogatory things about them, and she flat out refuses to provide her managers information and has told residents that her management is aware of the ongoing issues and supports her fully. If this is how Concord supports their managers, I don't want to ever live in a Concord managed building again. I doubt my single review will change anything but I do hope that anyone considering moving here reconsiders it.
