- KKKevinSep 16, 20255.0I used to live here for several years before COVID, and I quite enjoyed it. Living in LA is expensive, and this place offers affordable and furnished micro apartments in a cool area of Little Tokyo. The rooms are pretty small, but I was never bothered by it and found it to be cozy. If you're living with someone else, then it may not be as comfortable, but for it's perfectly fine if you're by yourself.. There are shared washers and drying machines, which I don't remember how much they cost, but I remember being able to pay using credit card. The only thing I didn't like as much was that you had to pick up your mail from the manager on-site, but I'm assuming they installed mailboxes for every unit by now. Also note, some of these reviews are for Little Tokyo Hotel, which is an older hotel with private rooms and shared bathrooms (I've stayed there before as well). Mikado and Little Tokyo Hotel are not the same place.
- JLJoyce LamMar 7, 20225.0Location is awesome! So much awesome food right across the street. Jist is around the block and great for breakfast. Mochi shop too and convenient store. So many cute stores next to the hotel. Just stick to the main little Tokyo area though.
- SLSam LingOct 26, 20194.0Very clean hotel in one of the most vibrant and convenient locations of the city. The hotel rooms are tiny, with just enough spaces for 2 people. The rooms are of Japanese-inspired simple and utilitarian design. During the night, things can get slightly noisy, but the staff did provide ear plugs in case needed. Overall, Mikado is a great value if you don't mind the smaller living spaces.
