I have been at Volterra for about 5 and a half months now with a roommate and I have enjoyed my living experience very much! The staff is quick to respond and there is never an issue when it comes to splitting rent. Maintnence is also very helpful and timely. The pool is great in the summer and always clean, same goes for the hot tub in the winter. I have never felt unsafe or uncomfortable and all of the neighbors I have met are very kind.My roommate takes the assigned parking space so I need to find street parking typically and it has never been a major issue or to difficult. I was hoping I would find a safe, comfortable, and clean complex to call home while going to school and Volterra has been a 5/5 for me.

Well, I can't complain given the circumstances on which I moved here. Management has been very accommodating and they do a pretty good job of keeping the property in good order. Maintenance is quick to respond to issues that may arise and the rent is reasonable. Great accomodations from the modern laundry room, beautiful pool and jacuzzi area, to the pint sized gym and spa / steamroom (hopefully with COVID finally getting under control they'll ooen it up again). This place has it all including assigned parking spaces snd security.
Now that I sang all the praises, a critique. The area where the dumpsters are is an eyesore to me anyway. Given that the Dallas St entrance is permanently closed. You have to enter thru the back of the lot and it's right at one of the two entrances. It's a bad first impression if you've never been here. Thankfully they have regularly scheduled garbage pickups but still sometimes the garbage overfloweth. Though I know there are people who don't live here that also use the dumpsters. I will however deduct a half a star for that but luckily I round up 🙂

Just moved out of the apartment after living there for a year and a half. Absolutely no complaints. Everything in the unit was brand new when I moved in, or seemed like it, down to stickers on the pantry shelves and plastic covering on the cupboard handles. The management team is friendly and professional, all notifications are posted on doors and emailed with at least 48 hours heads up. Can't attest to the maintenance team since I didn't have a single reason to call them... but in my mind that speaks for itself. Located between a fire station and a middle school, which, at least in my mind, serve as a deterrent for crime. Central location between San Diego proper and Kearny Mesa, traffic was a nonissue commuting into the city 5-6 days a week. The apartment common areas are being renovated, but very quietly, no disturbance noted at all. Just means you watch the complex get nicer and nicer with no disruptions.
I am so glad I found Volterra! I researched very throughly for other apartments in the area and nothing compared to Volterra especially for the price!
I currently live three hours away and the managers (Sara and Maria) have been nothing but amazing. Unlike most of the apartment complexes I called, they were always available to answer any of my questions during office hours which made scheduling a viewing hassle free. Not only are the managers extremely nice but they made the entire process such a breeze.
The facility itself is extremely clean and quiet. Even though Volterra is only a year old, you can tell the managers truly care about the tenants because the facility is kept up to date. And they are continuing to make more improvements. So if you need to find a place I highly suggest volterra.
