You definitely get what you pay for here. The Aventine is nicely located in a great neighborhood near parks and grocery stores. Also close to HWY 4 if you want to get to Concord or Walnut Creek. The building is practically new and the facilities are well maintained. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.The living space has good storage and the kitchens are nicely formatted. Definitely will recommend.

I’m contemplating moving to the East Bay area and recently toured Aventine. They are in a great location and the apartments I saw were in excellent condition. I particularly liked the public spaces. Brooke did an excellent job showing me around and I may be seeing her soon to sign a lease.

We have lived at Aventine Apartments for three years and absolutely love it here. The club room, library, and patio are beautifully furnished and spacious enough to comfortably host events of around 100 guests. We recently held an event here and everything went smoothly thanks to Will, the property manager, who made sure things were ready for us ahead of time. Brooke is also very helpful and always makes the process easy.
Maintenance is excellent as well. Ferdinand is always reliable.
Aventine has truly been a wonderful place to call home. The amenities are great, the staff cares, and the community feels welcoming.

This apartment is overpriced, cheaply built, and poorly managed. Do not be fooled by appearances.
Utilities are outrageously expensive because they are based on occupancy, not actual usage, which makes absolutely no sense and feels like a money grab. You end up paying way more than you should regardless of how little you use.
The apartment itself is cheaply constructed. The cabinets aren’t real wood — they’re literally covered in paper that peels off. The fridge is low quality, old, and barely does its job. The washer is a joke: the maximum wash time is 14 minutes, which means clothes never come out clean. I’ve had to rewash loads multiple times. The dishwasher is old, filthy, and ineffective, yet management refuses to replace anything, despite the insane rent they charge.
The plumbing is terrible. Toilet pressure is extremely low, so you often have to flush twice, and it still clogs easily. Completely unacceptable.
Package theft is a constant issue. Packages are left anywhere — outside, on the wrong side of the building, or dumped on the floor of the package room (which is inconveniently located on the opposite side of the building for many residents). You end up searching for your package like it’s hidden treasure. When packages get stolen, management is too lazy to check the cameras. Instead, they push you to pay extra to use their cheap parcel locker system. So you’re basically forced to pay for security they should already provide.
The hallways and elevators constantly smell. Cleaning is clearly neglected. Dogs pee in the hallways near apartment doors, leaving strong odors that linger. It’s gross and unsanitary.
Overall, it’s very obvious that management is cheap, careless, and money-hungry. They charge luxury prices for a tiny 2-bedroom with outdated appliances, poor maintenance, and zero accountability. This place is absolutely not worth the rent.
Save your money and live somewhere that actually respects its residents.
