  While all the staff were incredibly friendly during the tour, after me and my partner had submitted an application things seemed to go very down hill. A day after submitting a holding deposit, we received a call saying the rent is actually $125 dollars more than the initial rent we were told. We were understanding and went forward anyway, however, when we initially got rejected we were told in an extremely short one sentence email that they would “work with us if we got a co-signer”. We had someone co-sign for us, only to later be told that they had to make 5x the rent—which was not included in the email and added even more fees to the compiling list. They have poor communication skills and did not give any detailed emails, I wish they just flat out rejected us instead. It has now been almost two weeks since the final rejection and I have still not received my $200 holding deposit or any communication back, despite being told that it was being processed for return over a week ago. I appreciate the staff being friendly and everyone seems lovely, but the lack of communication and timeliness with money has really soured my taste.

  It does seem like a nice place with good amenities. Unfortunately, didn't get to enjoy it. My review is on the application process. It seems very 'scammy' to tell someone you are qualified with 2x the required income, then collect application fees, and then, after almost 2 weeks of no news, finally be told "Oops, we mean 2.5 times the income requirement... You do not qualify." Lucky enough to have a cosigner who is also required to pay the application fees, at which point informed that it is 5x times the income requirement for the cosigner! If not illegal, this is at very least the most incompetent property management company I have ever seen. Over $200 in application fees collected without ever intending to rent.

  My back patio French door has been like this for five months and one week. Pest control sprayed a few weeks ago for these fruit fly-like insects called midges. They make their way in through the crack in my door and accumulate on my windowsills. I cannot begin to tell you how frustrated I am on a daily basis because it is taking this place over five months to address this issue. Think about that think about how many weeks have gone by and how long of a time period that is to get approval from the owners of this building to get something like this fixed and corrected. I have paid five months of rent accumulating over $14,000 to live in this “luxury”apartment complex. Please don’t tell me that you are frustrated that the doors arrived broken a couple of weeks ago. It should’ve never ever taken the doors that long to be approved for replacement. Please do not insult me and come back with some minuscule dollar amount when it comes to concessions for me having to live like this. I feel this complex is nice and safe and this is not necessarily the fault of people in the front office here on location but so much time has gone on to make this replacement. It is unacceptable and frustrating beyond words. Also… The other day I picked up four bags of dog crap myself. Your emails reminding tenants to pick up their dog crap is ineffective and laughable at this point. I was told that the groundskeeper makes regular rounds at the dog parks. That is completely false. I picked up so much dog crap the other day. Disgusting! The hot tub in the Apex loop is constantly out of service. Last year, it was out of service for seven of the 12 months I lived here. I don’t care that there is another hot tub to use up at Pique. We pay good money to live here and it feels there is very little urgency at getting stuff corrected and fixed. Surprisingly, the gates have been operating as they should be. Also, if you care to know, the lockable gate at the Apex entrance does not shut and lock. I apologize for bringing all these issues to light and generally wonder if anybody else cares about any of this or are they just insignificant to them and don’t care to bring it up to you all.   This Property is stunning and has all the amenities anyone could ever want with beautiful views and as much privacy as one can get in an apartment complex. Grounds are maintained well and it is peaceful. Garrett in the leasing office went out of his way to assist me with my apartment hunt from long distance and was friendly and answered all my crazy questions. I highly recommend requesting him in assisting you lease with Pique.
