Rotting 2x4s above slidding patio window in our living room from 12 years of constant leaks when it rains, after 12 years they finally found the problem, but never replaced the Rotting wood after they said they would make things right, I have videos and photos for every one of those years of constant leaks, and I did all the water clean up myself, our apartment hasn't been the only apartment with these water leak issues, owners do the minimum with repairs to save money, always shutting water off to repair plumbing issues, finding parking is a major problem, entrance gates are periodically broken and left open for long periods of time for other people to come in and park inside, I often see vehicles with no parking permits parked inside, they allow residents to bring their business vehicles, parking statis is out of control, weekends are the worse for parking, they replace stoves with cheap stoves that have defects bought from a company that sells them at very low cost, people are constantly moving out for one reason or another, one of their biggest mistakes was planting pine trees close to the buildings and sidewalks, the roots have caused havoc on the sidewalks and patios, our patio was being pushed up by the tree roots, they only replaced half the patio to save on material and labor cost, the job was terribly done, the patio is slanted and caused other problems when it rains, they tried to fix it, but the repairs went from bad to worse, the contractor actually admitted the owners didn't want to replace the whole patio in order to save on material and labor cost, he said he could just barely pay his helper, on rainy seasons our windows develope mold on the inside, they should replace their windows, but it will probably never happen, laundry is stolen if you don't pick it up right away, as one long time resident put it, the Woodlake apartments is basically a cash cow for these owners, I been here for awhile, I know what I'm talking about, these apartments were built in 1976 or so, and their falling apart, we've also had repeated water leaks in our bathroom above our shower because of aging plumbing, there's always some kind of repair issues going on, and theirs only 2 maintenance workers who are overwhelmed with work and under paid, I was told from a former maintenance employee that they need at least 4 maintenance people to keep up with the maintenance repairs because they also have another property they manage, imagine that, two maintenance people to manage 2 properties, I've lost track of how many maintenance workers and managers have come and gone, new residents who rent here have no idea what their getting into, before there was no pets allowed, but now their allowed, we repeatedly find dog crap on the lawn that inconsiderate lazy tenants don't pick up, therefore we avoid walking on the lawn, dog crap has parasites, obviously allowing pets now means more money for the owners, also the rent just keeps going up everytime you sign a new lease with tons of new rules and regulations, and there all for the owners benefit, there will come a time when rent will be unaffordable for some people, but the owners can care less, they just want their money, if it sounds that I'm fed up, well you be right, it's not right what these property owners are doing to hardworking individuals trying to scrape out a living.
