The Community Director, Rochelle Johnson, is extremely knowledgeable and works hard to ensure that all tenants enjoy living at Vida Adult Living Apartments.

I haved lived here 5+ years, through a slew of owners/managers. The current owners have made lots of improvements. Shelly is the best manager we have had. She is not only friendly but extremely helpful & makes it much more pleasant to live here.

Vida is a senior trap. First, keep in mind, many of the positive reviews are fake. They are from people who have never lived here and, in fact, live in other states. They are friends/staff of FPI management and placed here to bolster a new property manager's failures. We've been a year and we really can't do this much longer. I'll keep it short and sweet why... -The community manager is a mess. Has very few people skills and seems to know little or nothing about actually maintaining the property. She's straight up lied to us many times. She can't manage the basic email/text notifications and yes, you'll want them. The "annual" inspections of your apartment will be frequent and without much notice. My hope for you, the reader, is that you never learn the full breadth of her incompetence in person. -Your rent will go up the legal max every year. So yeah, that cool apartment will cost more and more every year, no matter what. That ten percent a year adds up quickly. -The "amenities" are poorly maintained and taken away/closed if they get too inconvenient or expensive. So don't count on the promises on the web site. For instance, that community room. It's basically the community managers office and only accessible when she is working and not in a meeting, or on a conference call. -There is no future here. For instance, no electric car charging. No plans for it. They can barely deal with the parking situation as it is. -There is no community here. I've lived in several other similar communities all of them had community spaces where resiodent could gather and socialize. They all had learning programs, exercise programs. They engaged their tenant as though they really cared. At Vida, we don't even pretend. The buildings themselves are old but good. Decent design. If they were better taken care of we would never want to leave. As it is, we still have problems from our pre move-in checklist that have never been addressed. A simple bucket of paint would do wonders. The tell on the web site is when they list "mail boxes" as an amenity. Honestly, with better property management and maybe some more reasonable lease renewal terms you might want to stay but in reality, you won't. We are in our sixties. We have zero desire to move again but in another year we'll be paying even more in rent and still not able to access the amenities which we used to enjoy. This is what the property management company counts on. You're older and you don't want to move. So stay here, pay more and get less. Avoid the trap. Rent elsewhere.
